Here's some pictures I took of the eclipse through a telescope (I'm in SoCal)

Here's some photos of the shadows that were cast, notice how they appear eclipsed, very fascinating!!!

I'm glad I got to see this and that I could share!!

Is anyone traveling to try and get a better viewing of it? What are your thoughts?
Pretty awesome stuff. Just got back from viewing it with work buddies. Great to watch with the right glasses. Wonderful celestial event.

I live in the path of the total eclipse, I went out on my back porch to watch and it was cool to see. Not life changing, but cool.

that was quite beautiful, even if i didn't see the total eclipse.

the sky was periwinkle, and everything else like had a greyish shade to it.

Got lucky that a couple of friends from the engineering department brought their welding helmets, it was pretty neat.

I watched the eclipse on CNN, does that mean it didn't actually happen and it was fake?

not even CNN can fake such stuff.
