They are a monopoly, they control speech. If your mobile phone company started censoring your conversations you would just change to a different phone company. As a monopoly, organisations have a social responsibility.

Twitter nore any other company has any kind of "social responsibility". You ether use there product or you don't, That's where your choice begins and ends.

Personally I've always been against censorship over insults.

But hatespeech is different. And it only applies to generalized groups of people, not a single person.

For example: Fuck Donald J. Trump, he is a worthless pile of garbage that hasn't done anything worthwhile since his daddy loaned him a million dollars.

That is not hate speech.

But trying to say "fuck the n-----rs" or "fuck the spicks" or "fuck the crackers" is racist hatespeech.

But the difference is Amazon providing food and Twitter providing a outlet for people to bitch and moan. So as time goes on the rules will change and likely (I hope) amazon does get some regulation when it comes to food if they become the only company to provide said food.

Also the thing is there will likely always be a choice between where you buy food or where u want to bitch/moan.

A quick google search tells me most business analysts consider Facebook to be a monopoly. At the very least an oligopoly. Dude they are invis banning (that means that only followers can see the tweet), which essentially amounts to throwing your kid in the corner when they can't behave. It is harmless and is something that most forums will actually do. I mean start throwing insults at others here and you'll likely find yourself banned for not being able to behave properly.
