Having people simply consume without producing anything leaves a deficit. Now this is never a good thing but it has degrees of harm. Right now there isn't a surplus of affordable housing and you could even argue food for the poorest of the countries citizens.

By adding more people in poverty to the mix all you accomplish is further straining the already inefficient supply. You drag the lowest tier of society even lower into poverty and lower their living standard.

This is economic gobbledygook. People consuming without producing do not cause a deficit they just consume without producing anything. You could argue they take from society without adding to it but that's about it, and even that argument would require you to prove that they actually do consume without producing when we all know virtually all illegal immigrants are in one form of work or another.
