Yeah 4 DPS is the ‘wishful thinking meta’. Sometimes, yes you can replace the off tank or off healer with certain DPS, but that doesn’t mean you can replace both with just any DPS.

Also since hitting 2200 again, my wins are hard fought and I do pretty well. My losses, catastrophically hopeless due to horrendous compositions and very bad play with said composition. Result is I'm losing a little more than I gain, because the losses are just so impossible to participate in.
Sigh. Miserable experience this weekend. Even when you get wins it feels like shit because you know it's just because you won the "who gets the most trolls" coin flip.
I saw a Doomfist ulti go off for the first time today. The team using him was a bunch of complete trolls, but hey, it happened.
That's enough OW for tonight. 90SR down because people don't know how to build a composition and don't know how to prioritise targets. Seems the closer you get to the 'mean', the more players there are who really don't deserve to be there. 90% in a premade that's failing at boosting them.
I had taken a nice long break from Competitive to if its changed.
Nope. Same bullshit like always. Whatever is this game's problem with me being
Platinum again I have no idea.
Well, according to some of the blue posts Endus linked, the system decides where it thinks you should be based on performance (assuming this initially starts during placements). If you take an "extended" (who knows how long that is) break, or go on a winning/losing streak (again, didn't see specific parameters but could range 5-10 for a safe assumption) the system becomes less certain. So, in the terms of SR, taking a break is bad, losing too much is bad, winning too much is bad, and all lead to wide swings in your gain/loss of SR per game.
Think I posted (maybe not) but over the course of 1 day, I went from gaining 30+ points on a win and losing 10-15 per loss, to now gaining 10-15 and losing 27+ per game. The gains of 30+ lasted approx 4 days, and the swing happened after I logged off for 8 hours due to work. Fell about 100 rating in 3 games, and over the last 2 days I've managed to climb up to 2606, still 50 points off from my season high due to that swing.
It's whatever, but I'm hoping to claw my way up to Diamond for once and that swing in SR is definitely not helping.
If you push a button that finds you a 'random group' and it gives you a random group of people with random skill and random knowledge then you have no right to complain that a 'random group' button did what it was designed to do. The fault lies in your inability to make friends to play with instead of relying on a button designed to be random. It is a 'random group' button, not a 'best of the best' button.
All of you people would still complain if you were 3k, 4k or top 500 too.
Set more honest and realistic goals.
played a quick play with a buddy, it was us and 4 randos against a 6 stack
we had 1 tank, and 5 DPS (I was the hog) enemy team had an actual comp
we fucking rekt them.
Im hurt that people are leveling up new accounts and go on a losing streak only to sell said accounts to higher level players to reck bronzies.
Saw my friend playing at bronze and theres a amurf in every game either with his team or against. Makes it real hard to learn ...
Assuming that any part of his posts are real - yes.
I doubt it.
I agree with you though. People generally tend to play at the rank where they belong. I was in Platinum for about a week before I got knocked back down, I'm just not at that level and I'm fine with it

It is in every bracket, not just the one you happen to be experiencing. Low brackets have people crashing their rank so a high rank can buy the account and wreck bronzes for lols, high ranks have lots of aim bots and every rank has throwers, griefers and trolls. There is no escape from bad players and that isn’t on Blizz, that is on our gaming community.

I don't normally play Symmetra, but when I do... I run up to the payload on Gibralter as it is inches from the end and my entire team is dead to keep the overtime going and I drop a teleporter right behind it and in my deathcam I watch my team mop up the win!
"That fucking teleporter!!!"
"Korean plays, don't ask..."
