If that were the case, the minimap should reflect what would be left over, rather than just having the flat terrain where the sword goes.

Hinterlands is propably the only zone with still living settlements on both factions.
Have you ever seen my old "Lands of Conflict" expansion concept?

It's a little off-topic, but since we have very little to discuss right now...

I'll copy/paste it bellow. Notice it's outdated, I had this concept around late MoP/Early WoD, so it has none of the Legion developments included in it: Dalaran is part of the Alliance, Varian and Tyrion are alive, Vol'jin is Warchief. And i've changed my mind about some of the ideas since then. I've been wanting to update it for some time, but as I have little time for that now, here it is:

DISCLAIMER FOR THOSE JUST SKIMMING THROUGHT THE WALL OF TEXT:

THIS IS NOT A LEAK, IT'S AN OLD EXPANSION FAN CONCEPT.

World of Warcraft: Lands of Conflict

Basic Plot: Contain Sylvanas. Reclaim the lost lands of the Alliance in the north. When the Siege of Orgrimmar ended, King Varian promised both. The moment is now! As the Alliance moves to reclaim Stromgarde and Gilneas, Sylvanas' paranoia becomes ever more dangerous, pushing her further into the brink of madness. A madness that could potentially bring even worse things into Azeroth.

Meanwhile, in the restored Plaguelands, a new kingdom of Lordaeron is being founded by the Argent Crusade. But who will be its king? And what happens when a corrupting threat begins to shatter the Crusade into warring factions?

And at north, in Maisara Hills, a new faction is being born, as the remaining Forest Trolls (the ones who refused Zul's offer to join the Zandalari) decide to unite Lordaeron's mongrel races (kobolds, gnolls and ogres) into an army, the Amani Covenant, which turns to dark magics to restore their lost hero, Zul'jin. But is it really Zul'jin, or a puppet of dark, vengeful gods?

    Features:
Lordaeron Reborn: Return to the Eastern Kingdoms, where the story of Warcraft began! A fully remade continent of Lordaeron, phased over the old one (and you can visit the old one with some Bronze dragon's help!). Areas:
    --- Arathi Highlands (100-102 - Alliance)
    --- Hillsbrad Foothills (100-102 - Horde)
    --- Gilneas (102-104 - Alliance)
    --- Silverpine Forest (102-104 - Horde)
    --- Hinterlands (104-106)
--- Northern Borderlands (former Western Plaguelands) (106-107)
--- Argent Lands (former Eastern Plaguelands) (107-110)
--- Maisara Hills (to be added in the first major content patch) (level 110 area)
--- Dragon Islands (to be added in the second major content patch) (level 110 area)
Further, all areas will have sub-zones that contain level 110 content.

    - Dwarves: Skin options: can now choose several Wildhammer and Dark Iron skins.
    - Orcs: Skin options: can now choose several hues of grey, brown and red skins. Also several skins that enable Dragonmaw, Bleeding Hollow and Warsong tatoos, in both those clans' skin colors and greenish variations.
    - Humans: New hair curly/ethnical style options. Including Black Power and mohawk hairdos, just for fun. Also include corrupted/tattoed necromancer skins for Death Knights and Warlocks.
    - Worgen: White and redish fur skin options added.

    - Night Elves: Skin options that give amber eyes for females and white/bluish eyes for males.

    - Tauren: Skin options for war paint, including Grimtotem skins.

New Mount Models: All racial mounts (horses, wolves, rams, mechanostriders, hawkstriders and so on, as well as gryphons and wyverns) get revamped models, with better textures and rounder models (minor upgrade to all racial mounts).

Timewalking Revamp: Timewalking can now be used anywhere! You now have a flag, akin to PvP-flag, that you can enable to adjust your level and item level as apropriate to the zone or instance you are currently in. And, if the party leader has Timewalking flag active when entering an instance, the entire group is adjusted to that instance, be it an old dungeon or even raid!

In addition, LFD also has options for different eras of Timewalking dungeons. Every week, a particular set of dungeons (with similar themes and from the same expansion). This queue is available all week, not just in some weekends.

Accepting and completing low-level quests with Timewalking enabled improves the XP and gold rewards from them. As such, you can choose to level anywhere you may like (but going to an appropriate level zone is still the best way to level up).

Killing bosses in Timewalking mode rewards a new currency to buy special transmogrification items, including never-before-available NPC armor and weapon models.

    - NPC sellers of cosmetic gear are located in all major cities, each with its own race-based sets that require reputation with that race to purchase. You can now look like a Night Elf Sentinel, Dwarf Mountaineer, Blood Elf spellbreaker and much more!

    - Former expansion's capitals also get their own NPC sellers, which provide formely NPC-only or recolor sets from those expansions. For instance: Are you looking for Tempest Keep's Red Battlegear NPC-only armor? Go to Shattrath (Outland), then.

    - New unique NPCs in Stromgarde and Alterac for new recolor and never-before-seen armor sets!

    - This system allows new NPC sellers to be added in future patches and expansions, since Timewalking would never get old as more and more dungeons and Raids become obsolete.

City Quests: Each day, travel to a main city (Stromgarde, Gilneas, Dalaran or Aerie Peak for Alliance; Hammerfall, Alterac, Andorhal or Jintha'alor for Horde, thought Dalaran and Jintha'alor must be unlocked with questing in their areas) to do special quests within the city! Explore catacombs, kill bandits, find spies, kill traitors, gather information on each city's history. Doing these, you get the chance to unlock special battlefield events.

Battlefield Events: Special scenarios that you can invite up to 4 friends to join with you. Participate in major battles between the Alliance, Horde and Amani Covenant, as you must complete randomized objectives and bosses to defend one of your faction cities from an invading army. Difficulty rises with the number of players, but so do the rewards, and your score may spawn a special, random final boss with epic loot!

    Battlefields are fully randomized.
    - Each scenario has 3 stages, out of several possibilities, in random order. The first stage is easy mode, the second is normal, and the third is hard.
    - During each stage, you also need to fight a boss while doing other tasks. This boss' features are random, including its race, gender, features and attacks/defenses. Each boss comes in easy, normal or hard mode (which determine number of special attacks/defenses), as per the stage they appear in.
    - Boss health and damage, as well as number of events in each stage scales with number of players in the scenario, for each difficulty.
    - After the three stages, a special fourth boss invades the city. This boss is also randomized from a pool. The final boss is always something huge and dangerous: a mighty armored ogre, protodragon-riding enemies, a big siege engine and so on. The higher your score in the earlier stages, the harder this boss becomes, but its rewards are also improved.

    Example: possible stages Stromgarde Battlefield:
    - Enemies crawling up the walls: You need to move fast and kick their rope arpoons and climbing contractions. Kill enemies in the wall. Fight flying enemies.
    - Aerial Battle: Mount a gryphon/wyvern. Bombard enemies on ground. Shoot down flying enemies. Board a flying machine and defeat enemies within it.
    - Flank Attack: You sneak up to the Arathi fields, behind the enemy lines. Mount up and break their flank, sabotage siege engines.
    - Defend the front gate from incoming waves of enemies.
    - Possible bosses: flying menace; enemy captain; siege engine; saboteur;

Reputations: Each city has its own reputation. Rewards include gear, toys, pets, new mounts and titles. Each reputation is also tied to a max-level storyline that unfolds as you rise in reputation. Reputation can be gained by several ways: leveling quests, doing city daily quests, winning Battlefield events, first dungeon of the day or killing certain rare mobs. Once you reach Exalted with a city, you can buy a comendation to that reputation that increases reputation gain for your alts.

    New Pets/Mounts/Titles:
    (Alliance)
    - Stromgarde: wolfdog, Arathorian Charger (Warhorse), "Knight of Strom"
    - Gilneas: mastiff, Gilnean Steed (unarmored horse), "Lord of the Pack"
    - Dalaran: arcane elemental, Arcane Steed (Quel'dorei steed infused with magic), "Champion of the Kirin Tor"

    ---------------------------
    Lore:
    ---------------------------

    Starting Experience:
    - (Alliance) The Alliance pushes its forces north. The starting experience involves the Alliance, under command of Danath Trollbane, Genn Greymane and Kurdran Wildhammer, retaking Stromgarde.
    - (Horde) In response, Sylvanas decides to create a bulwark against the Alliance advance. Starting experience involves Horde forces under the leadership of Galen Trollbane, Rommath and Primal Torntusk taking Alterac for the Horde.
    - After initial experience, you start leveling in Stromgarde or Alterac, which are the main faction hubs of the expansion.

    Arathi Highlands
    Featured Major Lore Characters:
(Alliance) Danath Trollbane, Genn Greymane, Kurdran Wildhammer
    - Leveling experience is Alliance-exclusive. Max-level areas have content for both factions.
    - Main Storyline is about pushing back the Horde, destroying Galen's Fall and securing most of the area surrounding Thoradin's Wall.
    - Secondary storylines involve bringing civilians from Refuge Point, securing the farms of the region, expelling the remnants of the Syndicate (which are then hinted at having joined forces with the Risen) and fight off a small recruitment force of the Amani Covenant (Alliance introduction to the Amani threat).
    - Areas reserved for Max Level quests/storylines: Eastern areas: Hammerfall (Horde focus on protecting it, Alliance on spying it) and Witherbark Hold (Amani Covenant turns Witherbark Village into a fortress)

    Hillsbrad Foothills
    Featured Major Lore Characters:
(Horde) Sylvanas Windrunner, Rommath, Primal Thorntusk, Galen Trollbane
    - Leveling experience is Horde-exclusive. Max-level areas have content for both factions.
    - Storyline is about securing the region for the Horde. It starts with slaughtering the Dalaran mages at Dalaran Crater. This act unstabilizes the rift that was forming in the crater, allowing beings of the Void passage into Azeroth.
    - Secondary storylines involve fortifying Tarren Mill, and turning the ruins of Southshore into a base, destroying the remnants of the Syndicate and Argus Wake (which are then hinted at having joined forces with the Risen) and fight off a small advance force of the Amani Covenant (Horde introduction to the Amani threat).
    - Areas reserved for Max Level quests/storylines: Sludge Fields have been taken by the void entities;
The region between the river and Thoradin Wall, which include Dun Garok and Durnhold Keep, becomes a battlefield between Alterac and Stromgarde forces (mixed max level PvE/PvP hub).

    Gilneas
    Featured Lore Characters:
(Alliance) Genn Greymane, Mia Greymane, Tess Greymane, Darius Crowley, Lorna Crowley, Tobias Mistmantle, Ivar Bloodfang
    - Gilneas is all about the Worgen recovering their land. There are factions of Gilneans, from feral worgen to non-cursed survivors, and the Alliance must unite them, fight a rebel feral worgen group and expel the Forsaken remnants from their lands.

    Silverpine
    Featured Lore Characters:
(Horde) Sylvanas Windrunner, Lilian Voss (fighting off the void), Nathanos Blightcaller
    - Silverpine Forest is about the atrocities of Forsaken coming back to bite them in the ass, as the void creatures pouring into Azeroth begin to do very weird things in the zone, with void corruption being fed by all the deaths that ocurred in the zone.
    - Main storyline leads Sylvanas to investigate the void presence and becoming more and more interested to turn it into a weapon against the Alliance. This leads into Whispering Forest (in Tirisfal), where she finds the source of the void forces, a cave where an ancient entity has been trapped for thousands of years. Sylvanas makes a ritual to take control of the void. It seems to work... or is she now possessed by the ancient entity?
    - Max Level quest hubs: Fenris Keep (Void-corrupted Forsaken have taken it as a base to spread the void influence over the continent).
The Gilneans also want to retake ALL of the Gilneas, which include Pyrewood, Ambermill and Shadowfang. The borders between Silverpine and Gilneas (Greymane Wall, southern marsh and Pyrewood Village included) become a battlefield between Gilneans and the Horde (mixed max level PvE/PvP hub).

    Hinterlands
    - Feature Lore Characters:
(Alliance) Kurdran Wildhammer, Falstad Wildhammer, Jaina Proudmoore, Vereesa Windrunner, Auric Sunchaser
(Horde) Primal Thorntusk, Rommath, Aethas Sunreaver
    - Storyline about a 3-way fight between Alliance (Wildhammer and high elves), Horde (Revantusk and Blood elves) and the new Amani Covenant. Dalaran has been relocated to Seradane, with the high elves planning to make their new home under the giant tree.

Alliance side, you fight off the forest trolls and Forsaken from the western areas, then help the high elf settlers. Also investigate trouble in Dalaran, finding a Sunreaver plot to crash the city.

Horde side, the revantusk take over Jintha'alor, which becomes a Horde hub, then fend off the remaining eastern forest troll forces and crush the remaining Alliance presence in the east of the zone, except Seradane.

    - Max level quest hubs: Altar of Zul is a max-level questing area that is being turned into a fortress for the Amani Covenant.

    Northern Borderlands
    Featured Lore Characters:
(Alliance) Varian Wrynn. Final "truce" questline also features Genn Greymane, Jaina, Danath, Falstad, Vereesa
(Horde) Vol'jin. Final "truce" questline also features Sylvanas, Nathanos Blightcaller, Galen Trollbane, Primal Thorntusk, Lor'themar
    (Neutral) Tyrion Fordring
    - Horde has control of Andorhal
    - Alliance takes over the ruins of Caer Darrow, as Scholomance is no more.
    - Hearthglen is a neutral town.

This area starts as the typical Horde/Alliance struggle, but soon the player (whatever faction) is sent by Varian/Vol'jin (both of whom are worried about the escalation of the Horde/Alliance war) to the Argent Crusade so it can act as a peace intermediate between the factions.

Rest of the zone is about helping the Crusade to prove your worthy and make the Borderlands safe from other threats, including some Amani Covenant scouts, Syndicate and Argus remnants and the strengthening of the void forces in the area, which are being fed by the past atrocities of both Scourge and Forsaken.

In the final part of the storyline, a Horde and Alliance meeting happens in Hearthglen to try a peace treaty. Sylvanas reveals to have been taken by an ancient Void Lord, reveals many of the Forsaken have been corrupted. Both Horde (led by Ranger Lord Nathanos Blightcaller) and Alliance (led by Genn Greymane) fight off the Void-corrupted Forsaken.

In the end: Nathanos Blightcaller becomes the leader of the Forsaken and promises to free Sylvanas from the Void Lord that has corrupted her. The meeting is over and the peace treaty is post-poned.

    Argent Lands
This area is huge and shared between factions, with Darrowshire, Light's Hope, Tyr's Hand, Northpass Tower and Northdale as quest hubs. It is divided into many storylines, which include:

    - (Darrowshire and later Light's Hope hubs) Investigating the remnants of the Cult of the Damned, which are now being taken over by the void entities in the continent.

    - (Northdale hub) Forming a force to fight off a Forest Troll/Gnoll/Ogre army from the Amani Covenant in Zul'Mashar.

    - (Tyr's Hand hub) Starts with the murder of a Crusader. Goes into a schism between the Brotherhood of the Light and the Argent Crusade. Part of the Brotherhood seems to go mad, cause a massacre in Tyr's Hand and is expelled from the Argent Dawn. Scarlet Enclave is used as part of the quests from this storyline.

    - (Northpass Tower hub) Plaguewood, still not fully recovered, has been taken by the Brotherhood of the Light. This is a max level quest area, and as you investigate further into it, you find out the Brotherhood has allied itself with a group of Risen Scarlet Crusaders, the Syndicate and Argus Wake remnants. Later it's found that Varimathras, Detheroc and Balnazzar have been manipulating the Brotherhood, which is becoming as fanatic as the Scarlet Crusade. You banish Detheroc, but the Brotherhood have taken over Stratholme, now calling it New Lordaeron.

    ---------------------------
    Max Level (Reputation) Storylines:
    ---------------------------
These storylines are unlocked once you reach Honored reputation with a faction. They advance as your reputation rises, with the conclusion being available when you reach Exalted. They give epic rewards (starting with LFR-level gear, and ending with a single Heroic piece when you complete them) as well as Timewalking currency. Each story has 6 steps: first enabled at Honored, 2nd at mid-Honored, 3rd at Revered, 4th at 3/6 Revered, 5th at 5/6 Revered, and the final one at Exalted.

    (Alliance)
------ Stromgarde: "A Tale of Two Cities" - The Stromgarde/Alterac war and Danath/Galen confrontation.
------ Gilneas: "Wolves at the Door" - Genn Greymane's quest to secure Gilneas and unify his people.
------ Aerie Peak: "The Two Hammers" - Wildhammer dwarves and Hammerfall orcs join forces to fight the Amani, who are trying to summon an elemental Army in Arathi.
------ Dalaran: "Rise of the High Elves" - The high elves unify as a people and settle in Seradane.

    (Horde)
------ Alterac: "A Tale of Two Cities" - The Stromgarde/Alterac war and Danath/Galen confrontation.
------ Andorhal: "The Ranger Lord's Quest" - Nathanos' quest to become the new leader of the Forsaken.
------ Hammerfal: "The Two Hammers" - Wildhammer dwarves and Hammerfall orcs join forces to fight the Amani, who are trying to summon an elemental Army in Arathi.
------ Jintha'alor: "Rise of the Revantusk" - The Revantusk become a beacon for Forest Trolls to join the Horde and settle in Jintha'alor

    (Neutral)
    - Hearthglen: "Champion of the Light"

    ---------------------------
    Instances:
    ---------------------------

    Dungeons:
    - Dalarani Catacombs: forgotten deeps of Dalaran, hidden beneath the Dalaran Crater in Hillsbrad, where forbidden experiments were practiced and dangerous mages were banished to. Now, its lost denizens are being possessed by forces from the void.

    - The Whispering Depths: Within the Whispering Forest, an ancient prison once contained a dark god. Now, its seals have been broken, and a passage into a dimension of darkness lays open. You must delve into the deeps to destroy that portal, before horrid things threaten Azeroth.

    - Greymane Manor: Retake Greymane Manor from feral worgen.

    - Assault on Fenris Keep: Forsaken forces corrupted by the Void have taken up a fortified and redesigned Fenris Keep on Lordamere Lake. These agents of darkness must be destroyed at all costs.

    - The Temple of Zul: Ancient secret fortress hidden beneath the Altar of Zul, in Hinterlands.

    - Nightmare on Seradane: High elves have accidently reopened the Dream Portal in Seradane. Strenghtened by the Void that is taking Lordaeron, nightmarish creatures are pushing throught. Enter the dream and slay the draconic gate keepers in a nightmarish version of the Hinterlands.

    - Stratholme Service Entrance: As the Argent Crusade prepares a full-scale assault against Stratholme, you are sent to weaken their defenses and distract their forces.

    Raids:
3 raids planned. These are like WoD's raids: one small raid available at launch, a medium one launched some time after, then the major one in last patch.

    - Stratholme: Together with the Argent Crusaders, invade the rebuilt Stratholme to destroy the forces that have taken it: The Brotherhood of the Light, Risen Scarlet Crusaders, the Syndicate remnants and Argus Wake occultists, under the manipulative influence of the twin Dread Lords Balnazzar and Varimathras.

    ---------------------------
First Major Patch: The Amani Covenant
    ---------------------------

    - New Area: Maisara Hills, accessible from Zul'Mashar in Argent Lands, and populated by the Amani Covenant army, formed by trolls, ogres, kobolds and gnolls.
    - New Raid: Shrine of Ula'tek, where the Amani Covenant is gatherings its forces. Final boss is an undead void-infused Zul'jin.
    - New Reputation: Argent Front, the remnants of the Argent Crusade forces, fighting off the Amani threat.

    ---------------------------
    Second Major Patch: Darkness Falls
    ---------------------------

    - New Area: Dragon Isles (area north of Northern Borderlands). Has a theme of corruption/ancient evil being awakened, as Sylvanas, possessed by the ancient Void God summons ancient lieutenants to do his bidding, corrupt the draconic keepers of the islands, creates rifts in reality and awaken the remains of an army from ages past.
    - New Raid: The Realm of Madness. Delve into the void realm to destroy the Void God once and for all.
    - New Reputation: Unified Lordaeron. A Horde/Alliance/Argent unified force, fighting off the coming darkness. This reputation is all about unity, hope and Light fighting off the Darkness. The Void Threat represents everything that went wrong in Lordaeron, how corruption and strife turned it into a land of despair. Now, the Unified Lordaeron is a chance for redemption, as the many different factions of Lordaeron champions join forces to fight an evil that feeds off their old sins.

As the final battle ends, a new political landscape rises in Lordaeron. With the help of the Argent Crusade, we finally have some lasting peace.

    Undercity, Alterac, Hammerfall, Jintha'alor (Horde)
Gilneas, Stromgarde, Dalaran, Aerie Peak (Alliance)
    Stratholme (Neutral)

    The renewed kingdoms of Lordaeron.

That is just my theory. Because everyone looks into the past. Several times people, things have look into the future...look at the Naru .
And it would be nice..... good reason to visit some old zones and redo them. But again just a thought....maybe Anduins mom comes back and she is the evil one.

My favourite leaks are the ones that use names that Blizzard has already used.

    Zero creativity.

Not sure if Parrot mentioned it (I saw that he talked only about the FX) but the Sargeras sword has 2 versions, an FX and wmo. Meaning that if they put in a wmo for it it will be visible in the world and probably pretty big.

Would be cool if it was taller than the flight limit.

You WoW haters are hilarious. Hating all the while sitting on MMO-Champ, a site dedicated to WoW, while waiting for the battle.net client to come up so you can hop in WoW. This shit is comical.

Legion was a huge success. If you hate it, thats on you, but you can't argue facts.

Well, your theory totally makes sense to me and it would fit nicely into the story. And it even works if Il'gynoth was predicting the future instead of talking about what already happened. That's where @Shadochi has a good theory as well:

Now from this the visions Old God's have been having are from their connection with the Voidlords. (A similar theory could be made for Elune and Azeroth's vision showed to Magni)

Personally, in regards to Ion, I thought he had the same disposition back in Cata era...

I also do not wholly disagree with your post, but I feel Paula Deen is one of the "lesser evils" so to speak. I mean, sure he bashes WoW somewhat regularly, but that seems almost trendy at this point...

There are... Others... though, who I feel could be pointed out for unreasonable hate towards WoW who do pretty much exactly what you say.

It's not exactly 2 versions I think, they supplement each other. Obviously the WMO will be visible from a further distance but the effect might just be magicy stuff from close up, or the pulsing of the wound.

I don't know how i missed this... Is Sargeras' blade stuck in the wound in some files? That would be awsome to see
