The odds of pirates being INVOLVED are bigger. But it is unlikely the theme will be entirely about pirates.

Nah, /v/ leak he meant was one that said the expansion was void themed and HS expansion was trolls (deconfirmed by the HS expansion being pirates). Davy Jones is still in the running as its most likely GHOSTS/shadowlands themed.

The odds of a pirate-themed Hearthstone expansion*, you mean? Because if anything, this seems to be shitting on any theories of a pirate-themed WoW expansion. They wouldn't have the same theme with both games.

The Kara WoW patch and Kara HS expansion would like a word.

Remember that just because one debunked leak said void themed doesn't mean the expansion is confirmed not void.

There's a fallacy in there somewhere.

Thing is we can't debunk themes based on leaks, all we can debunk is the leaks themselves.

Don't have link, but one thing it mentioned was the next HS expansion was troll themed.

South Seas/Pirate based leaks, though, are still not off the table, even if HS is pirate themed. They already tied both games together at the same time once before(Kara patch+expansion), and it would be great publicity for both games.

but isnt the whole point of blizzcon to unveil the hs expansion, i think they teasing it, and pirates will certainly play a role but i think this is too direct, and that they could still pull a troll themed pirate expac

Lieutenant Alverold died/found some old god relic and became a squid-faced expy of Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean.

That's all there really is to it.

Hearthstone and WoW always had distinct stories and expansions though, doesn't necessarily mean anything.

It does debunk the leak going around saying the next expansion would be void-themed with an old world revamp, that Overwatch would announce a new map (with new objective) and melee support hero, and Hearthstone would announce a troll expansion.
