Never to my knowledge. Some women such as Orthodox Jews do wear head scarves but even those have a distinct look to them. A nun's habit is also quite easily indentifiable as they also always wear their gown.

    I’ve found one...

It's kind of weird watching white people object to the success of their own cultural imperialism.

Also, Tesco wants to sell roast chickens to Muslims. Why do you hate capitalism?

P.S. Just watched the thing and there's like two seconds of footage of "Muslims" out of the whole thing. Is this more ridiculous War on Christmas hysteria?

P.P.S. If you're so concerned about Christmas maybe you should be more worried about its commercialisation, you know in this TESCO'S AD?

there's not much diference between catholics and orthodox christians actually. bonus point though, after the great schism we didnt have the inquisition, so i guess that was sweet. oh and orthodox priests are allowed to get married if they wish. nobody wears hijabs here, eastern europe being orthodox. not big fans of islam either. history and stuff that cannot be forgiven.
There is a void in my heart. Have you come to fill it?

But this videos been panned on the voting, youtube comment section and on twitter. The controversy seeming to be over how the advert doesn't feature anything christian, yet does feature a muslim family with women wearing headscarves.

there has been some controversy earlier this year over tescos selling Halal meat, which involves the animal being killed in a brutal fashion for the consumer. It seems the combination of that, not showing any christian images in this advert showing multiple families, and showing a muslim one, all added up to pissing off the nation, also with its #EveryonesWelcome message (though excluding Christians from the look of it).

I do kind of agree with what people are saying, but again, the advert was so boring to me it didn't even leave any impact until I read though the reasons why people hated it.
    No, it doesn't.

Christmas hasn't been exclusive to Christians in a long time. People getting worked up about this video must have really boring lives.

Also: War on Christmas now = "We want stores to only acknowledge our customs, and no one else's, and other people can't be a part of it."

You do that in basically every slaughterhouse on earth. The animals are stunned first, with captive bolt guns or electricity or gas, for both Halal meat, Kosher meat, and neither.

Uh, pretty much every slaughterhouse on earth kills by cutting the animals' throats. There are a few that use chest sticks, but most that I know of cut carotids (usually mechanically).

    Method of slaughter[edit]
    Main article: Dhabihah
The food must come from a supplier that uses halal practices. Dhabīḥah (ذَبِيْحَة) is the prescribed method of slaughter for all meat sources, excluding fish and other sea-life, per Islamic law. This method of slaughtering animals consists of using a well-sharpened knife to make a swift, deep incision that cuts the front of the throat, the carotid artery, trachea, and jugular veins.[16] The head of an animal that is slaughtered using halal methods is aligned with the qiblah. In addition to the direction, permitted animals should be slaughtered upon utterance of the Islamic prayer 'Bismillah' "in the name of God".

The slaughter must be performed by a Muslim. Blood must be drained from the veins. Carrion (carcasses of dead animals, such as animals who died in the wild) cannot be eaten.[9] Additionally, an animal that has been strangled, beaten (to death), killed by a fall, gored (to death), savaged by a beast of prey (unless finished off by a human), or sacrificed on a stone altar cannot be eaten.[10]

The animal may be stunned prior to having its throat cut. The UK Food Standards Agency figures from 2011 suggest that 84% of cattle, 81% of sheep and 88% of chickens slaughtered for halal meat were stunned before they died. Supermarkets selling halal products also report that all animals are stunned before they are slaughtered. Tesco, for example, says "the only difference between the halal meat it sells and other meat is that it was blessed as it was killed."[17] The British Veterinary Association, along with citizens who have assembled a petition with 100,000[18] signatures, have raised concerns regarding a proposed halal abattoir in Wales, in which animals are not to be stunned prior to killing.[19] Concerns about animal suffering from slaughter without prior stunning has resulted in the ban of slaughter of unstunned animals in Denmark, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.[20][21] Generally, killing animals in Islam is only permissible for two main reasons, to be eaten[22] and to eliminate a danger, e.g. a rabid dog.[23]
    correction, they have done.

The thread has already been super close to discussing religion from the beginning on, and has only gone further and further in that direction.
    Going to close this here.
