There are very successful rappers who aren't on drugs 24/7, and are borderline "straight edge." Kendrick Lamar comes to mind. Eminem as well (though he has a history of drug abuse). Difference is, they have talent. Trash rappers fall back on the tried cliches (money, drugs, ho's) that dimwits eat up.
