How is getting to 110 "rushing". I completed all zones, got 90% of the treasures and got the adventure achievement for 3 zones in the first week and I don't think I was "rushing" at all. I also have two alts to 110. Again, not sure what counts as RUSHING. I did skip zones after making friendly with the faction, as there is nothing about the stories I care to see again.

Almost sounds like a case of "I'm trying really hard to not get to 110 and picking the slowest path possible so I can ^5 myself for taking 2 months to get to 110" but then will have 4-6 110s. WHY THE RUSH to get all those Alts to 110!!!

Oh a diff note, I'm 110 on only my main. I have a couple alts in mind, but that'll come in time. I work a full-time job with a wife and kids so my time is in demand.
I've done raiding at all levels, pushed content so hard in the past that I'd lost sight of what WoW is all about: it's a game guys.
Weither you're an altohaulic, hardcore raider or just into putting on diff hats and patrolling your capital city...... kudos to you. It doesn't mater what other people think you should or shouldn't do.

"Oh Monkee, you're just being a whiney SJW who feels the need to stick up for dirty casuals"

Nah, I've just been playing this game for a long time and have seen these crap opinions come and go.
If there truly was only 1 way to play WoW, we'd all just log-in, hit a button, get our e-peen pill, and be about our normal day.

To summarize for anyone still following along. The reason that I don't want to do World Quests etc is the same reason I didn't do Apexis Dailies or get a shipyard on all my characters.
Your choice is, of course, yours. But world quests genuinely aren't like apexis or shipyard stuff. There are three crucial differences:

#1. There are a lot of them per day. You could do 30 every day and not run out. (That would be very unwise of you, but you _could_ do it. ) There are enough that you can pretty much always find a few that will do things you'd like to do on any given day.

#2. They are are a lot of them overall. Clearly you remember how in Warlords you'd be cycling through one of a set of maybe three to six options, for months on end. Legion genuinely doesn't repeat that. There are several hundred world quests seeded at launch, and devs have described how they'll be cycling new ones in throughout the expansion.

#3. They are varied. Some call for straight up farming, others for doing an escort, others for killing a single target, others for clearing out an area, and so on. It's exactly the same range of things you can get as quest options while leveling, plus some more. Some quests take you to parts of the map you might not otherwise get to see, and a fair number build on stories you've seen while leveling.

World quests are more or less exactly what level-cap stuff in Warlords wasn't. Enjoy the pace you've got, but since you'll end up getting them open pretty naturally, check world quests out a little before committing yourself to not doing them.

I'm taking anything personal, not sure where you got that from.

I do agree that one can play well and take a slower approach to the game. In the terms of the OP, he seems to be purposefully going as slow as possible, by leveling multiple alts at the same time. I can see someone wanting to do all the initial artifact quests and class halls on their alts just to see what each one is like. But 3 weeks in and not a single 110? By all mean, play however you want, but don't come to the fourms trying to play the cool hipster who hasn't capped a single toon to 110 and tell us how ok they are with it.

Im playing with only 1 char at the moment, since Legion launch, and she is only 106... don't know why I should or should not be ok with that, or why would anyone open a thread because of that.

To summarize for anyone still following along. The reason that I don't want to do World Quests etc is the same reason I didn't do Apexis Dailies or get a shipyard on all my characters. Since I don't raid, gear is basically meaningless past a certain point. Sure it can help a little farming stuff here or there but when you run old raids for mounts for example and you one shot every mob, killing them by an extra 200k dmg doesn't really mean much.

I have 9 characters because I like the different classes but mainly because I want one of each profession for things like profession mounts or certain items to sell etc.

Essentially playing the "make enough gold so I don't ever have to pay real money for this again" game.

also yes, I like to play with friends. I'm also a bit burnt out by dungeon groups since it's back to the days of early Cataclysm when healers got blamed for everything.

So there is no real incentive for me to rush to max level, I'm enjoying the scenery, exploring all the nooks and crannies. Heck today I decided to get a full garrison for my Demon Hunter. So I went back to Warlords finished all the quests bought all the plans, went out and found the tailoring followers and got my hexweave up and running to make bags. None of that required me to be level 110.

Many people would think that was a waste of time but I really enjoyed going back to square 1 of Warlords and starting all over. I even went into my mine.
Except world quests are nothing like Apexis dailies at all and offer vast amount of things besides gear: first and formost rep they are the way to get rep with the factions which unlocks pets, toys, profession patterns , tabards etc...
Next they don't just award gear but also profession mats, battle pet items, artifact power, artifact relics, class hall supplies, gold etc...
Also they rotate often and a lot of them are former leveling quests.
They also have a set for one rep faction a day that if one does four of them for that rep faction they get a large artifact power item and a Baggie that has all sorts of things in them including legendaries.
Finally the rep for the factions that they give are part of the meta achievement that unlocks flying the first part we are on gives a 20% mount speed increase when done.
So I would say doing them is rather important and not doing them horribly hurts one toon in many if not all phases of the game.
You won't have all profession receipes nor class hall sources to do missions to name the biggest that affect you.

Take it at your own pace. These games are about enjoying your time. When it feels like work, time to go find another game, imo.

I am pretty much the opposite of you, OP. I rush my main char to max lvl and then, after some months, when the amount of stuff you want to do decreases, push a single twink slowly to max lvl while reading all the quests and enjoying the cinematics.
Of course my priorities in the game are diffrent, I do raid and grind.
But I like, that there are people like you. Just shows me, that WoW still attracts people for diffrent reasons and reasons I cannot imagine on my own.

Same here, only 107 yet :-)

Came back to Legion only 1-2 weeks after launch and relearning the class and game addon's. Adjusting UI for the bigger resolution now I am playing at. Enjoying the quests, reading them all, still only at second zone to clear out, doing some professions on the way, fishing here and there. Hunting rares for order hall resources when being around.

I was not sure about which class to start with, but finally decided on first character created back in the beginning, paladin.

Shadow Priest also looks interesting, maybe later on will try her out when main is relaxed enough.

Also have a job and family (wife!) to take care, so not playing 8+ hours each day. Have other games to play too, so am happy where I am at currently.
Have to admit it is tempting to hit 110 this week to pick up the 3 extra bonus roll token and kill world bosses at least, but if it will not come its not the end of the world :-)

I do love the individual class experiences though, it's been fun to slowly play through each zone.

Anyone else still not max level on any char?

I am not okay with this.

I have two max level and one 103 (he levels via App... )

The more I play the more I get the feeling beeing to greedy on that artfact power in the beginning is a mistake. My current strategy is to cool things down, only do artifact research, some class quests and a few WQ to be able to do research.... otherwise let chars rest. If you go hardcore on AP it's just sooo much wasted time as the gain of AP is so much more after a certain amount of research. If you're not a pregress raider just let the artefact research do it's work and fill the time not playing with some real world experience.

    Yeah, I hear ya. I have 5 toons at 110 and I only play like 10 minutes a day. It's super easy. I don't even really try. /humbleBrag /S
