I wished since the rumors to be able to make my druid a panda. Yes they are bears, but bear form would just make them mad bears. It would, in my mind, just seem so fun and 'right' to be a panda druid.

Tauren aren't druids because they're "part animal" already. They're attuned to nature. So are druids. Pandaren... are not so much. They love them some booze.

Let's face it. The only reason is Blizzard not wanting to make more models. They already have a pretty hard time updating Moonkin forms, now they'd need a new Bear, Cat and yet another Moonkin. Oh and flight forms I guess.

I agree that the most likely reason for not adding druid class to pandaren is the work required for new forms, then again, pandaren would be the best choice for adding druids to, as they are on both factions meaning they would only need to make one set of new forms instead of two to keep the faction balance of equal number of races on each side. I'm hoping they will change their stance on this before launch or later on at some point.

They do look like a rip off straight out of a fresh Hollywood cartoon character to begin with. But from a design pov they can have several ethos...

But personally I don't like how the lore is being killed. World bosses have already disappeared... instead we get pop culture stuff... The very stuff I come here to walk away from.

Aside from the obvious Jack Black Hollywood cliche Kung Fu Panda, what I hate the most is the lack of originality in this class that brings nothing fresh in terms of addon to the declining ongoing storyline.

Pandaren wouldn't really make sense as druids, considering pandaren religion and culture is shamanic and based on Eastern mythology.

And from a visual standpoint, their animal forms probably wouldn't look terribly unique... Just cats and bears colored like pandas, maybe with some Asian jewelry thrown on. Not interesting.
