    What's your favorite alcoholic beverage?

Choose one and maybe say why?

Mine is pretty self explanatory, see sig/avatar. Yeah i'm cliché like that T_T

But also i love beer because of the sheer amounts you can drink without getting drunk right on time, and they are just a really good drink while you're having fun/talking to someone, i don't know, i just love every bit of it.

    Stella beer. Liquid bread ftw.

Was never really into spirits but whiskey is nice as well.

    Monopolova Vodka.

During one of my deployments, we pulled into Russia. Now, I'm not a drinker by any stretch of the imagination; I might have had a gallon of alcohol my entire life total. Anyway, we ended up in this bar one night for lack of anything else to do. We met some locals, and we chit-chatted for a while. One of them finally convinced me to try some vodka. "Not that sissy wheat crap you get in the states" he says. Real potato vodka. So I tried it. Really enjoyed it. When I got back to the states, I tried several different vodkas here, and none of them even came close. They all tasted like chemicals. Finally, an older friend of mine turned me onto Monopolova. I don't know if it's wheat or not (haven't looked it up) but it's imported, and tastes almost as good as the stuff I had in Russia.

Granted, I bought a bottle of it about 3 years ago, and 3/4 of it is still in my fridge lol.

Pah, let the plebeians have their beer, I'm from the wine drinking upper class.

Or I would be, if I had a pot to piss in

I like a cold brew on a warm summer day, a white beer for preference, or a nice amber at a hearthfire on a winter's eve, but what REALLY excites me is wine, the endless variation, the subtle tastes. Wine is the drink that never gets boring, ever.

Bit of a bummer in my case that any kind of alcohol messes with my meds, and I have to be careful when and how much I drink. Usually it's just not worth it opening a bottle for the 1 glass I could have, so I practically never drink, which leads to me not standing my alcohol as well as I used too, so 1 bottle of wine on my own and I'm drunk as a skunk. Speaking of which, it's been a long tmie since I had a drink, I might just pop open a nice rosé I've been looking forward too all summer. NOt really the weather for it, and I don't have anything to snack, but I've got a longing for it now, thanks OP.

Vodka. Straight or combined with anything...

And personally I dont know why, but i just can't stand beer, makes me want to throw up with just a mouthfull. Although my variety of beer experience is pretty slim.

    I'm a shot/beer guy through and through.
Usually a Guinness drinker, unless the bar I'm at has Skull Splitter. For shots I'm drinking Jagermeister or Rumpleminze.
A good scotch is awesome every once in a while also.

I'll have to go with bourbon with Irish whiskey as a close second. Though since you are from Germany I don't expect you to know much about bourbon so I didn't expect to see it on the list anyways. It's whiskey that is most commonly made in Kentucky.

I'll have to go with Wild Turkey: American Honey. It's really sweet and I could take shots to mix it with just about anything.

as said a few posts above. wine is the drink that never gets boring. between endless variations of wine, Gibsons and good ol budweiser i cant go wrong.

Well Jack Daniel's markets itself as Tennessee whiskey. Mostly because of the fact that it's commonplace for bourbon to only come from Kentucky. It's not really a law though as far as I know. The flavors are closer though but I really do like Irish whiskey a lot more than most American whiskey.

Edit (from Wikipedia): Whiskey sold as Tennessee whiskey is also defined as Bourbon under NAFTA and at least one other international trade agreement, and is required to meet the legal definition of Bourbon under Canadian law, but some makers of Tennessee whiskey do not label their product as Bourbon and insist that it is a different type of whiskey when marketing their product.

I would post the link but I don't have enough post history yet.

I'm personally a big fan of whisky (jack daniels personal favourite) but beer is my second favourite.

Yes I agree, although I think the legal limits behind it's creation are unfortunate, the best wine I've had has always been homemade and horribly illegal in alcohol content. I do think the culture around it makes it difficult to enjoy for "newcomers," too, since there are a million and one types of wine and a million of them are terrible.

Meh, i really hate wine. I might give it one sip, but that's all. Never really liked it that much.
