I'm not gonna say these are always true and there is a little bit of bias, but it is nice to see someone appreciating that men don't necessarily have it easy. Basically if women want to be independent/have a successful job they're screwed, but lucky for them they don't have to because of the reasons above.

    Interesting read

As a woman I agree with only one of these .. conscription. I can't believe it is still exists in such a biased form. If I was born as a man in some of these countries, I'd so go to court with it.

However with the other things, they are not true at all. A woman who really is all those things will not be doing ok at all, she'd be considered a horrible fat monster while being a fat lazy man isn't half as bad. I agree there is some truth there but overall women have it FAR worse. Real life isn't like it's presented in those comedy films. Not saying women have a horrible life and need special treatment but staying pretty is hard work and takes a lot of torture. And even then, if you were really bad in bed, whiny nagging, boring and lived off your man, you'd end up on a street with 3 kids, no skills, no work experience and no one wanting to hire you as a woman of 35-40.

Well, I'm not speaking from personal experience:P I'm not that old.. but still

I don't think it was implying all of them at once, it was just listing out the possibilities.

    Great laugh though!

tbh the only ones that are valid are the divorce one, the conscription one, and the domestic violence one.

and of those three the only one that is valid is the divorce one because a) its men who keep women out of the military and b) its men whose macho culture shames men who are victims of female violence.

women usually do have an advantage in a divorce however.

Any girl that WANTS to depend on a man is a fucking idiot. This is the year of 2012 ffs, not 300.

I don't expect to be treated like a princess, and that gets me ''weird'' looks from some men, sometimes as well.

Ironically this is the case because it's a man's world, y'know. I enjoyed reading those little comparisons, and as much as I agree with most of them, I still think we men have it easier in the end. Childbirth, menstruation and self-embellishment, shall I say, starkly remind me it's good to be a man.

Absolutely wonderful exposition of the stereotypes. Hopefully they are adjusted some time in the next few hundred years or so.

I laughed. A lot more than I should have. Some of them are true, some of them not so much. People, don't take this too seriously, it was obviously intended to be a joke.

    The following ones are true.

    - Divorce (Girls seem to constantly underplay or underestimate just how badly divorce can ruin a man's life. If you ever get asked to sign a prenup, rest assured there's a damn good reason)
    - Domestic Violence
    - Conscription
    - Waiting until marriage for sex (Women generally think a guy who hasn't been with at least one [preferably more] women by age 25 has something really wrong with him)

Then there are issues that aren't addressed by that image such as children.

You, as a couple, get pregnant and the woman wants it but the man doesn't? Man gets stuck paying child support for 18 years.
You, as a couple, get pregnant and the woman doesn't want it but the man does? Man doesn't get his kid(s).

"Being pretty is hard work and takes a lot of torture"? Really? Here is how the sexes differ in how they're expected to look good (at least for the opposite sex).

Women: Keep in shape (usually by running) with an "eat to live, don't live to eat" diet. Wear makeup and take care of your hair. If you're not going out, you don't even have to put on makeup.
Men: Structure your entire diet around protein-based intake for building/maintaining "just the right" amount of muscle (not too much and not too little). Also strength training at least 4 times a week. If you're not going out, you still have to work out and eat the proper diet.

Which one really sounds more controlled to you?

Women have it way easier than you seem to think. The ONLY disadvantage to being a woman in today's society is that women seem to have issues cooperating and getting along with each other. Even the tightest female friendships seem to be tenuous at best compared to men's.

Silly you, there are ways around menstruation. And PMS for that matter.
