    UI got even worse - no "greying out" of abilities on cooldown anymore

    When you thought they could not make the ui any worse, they removed the greying out of abilities on cooldown.

    It looks better at first but it's almost impossible to tell when an ability is back up, especially for abilities with long cooldowns (e.g. relics).

    Your opinions on that?

    As far as I can tell, everything under the 'countdown bar' is still greyed out, but the ability itself lights up when you have the resources/requirements to use it.

    I didn't really notice it.

    agreed its a bad choice should have just made it where there is a flash as it comes back off cd
    Been gone since 2011, enjoying being back.

    It made everything worse imo. It`s hard to tell if there is ie 2% left of the cd. Icon should be gray, and then coloured when ready.

    Yeah, I’m with the OP on this topic – the “fix” is a retrograde step that must have cost me about a hundred globals (perhaps an exaggeration) last night. Personally, I’m just accepting the fact that the UI is going to remain fugly and that I’ll need mods to fix it. Hopefully we won’t be waiting much more than another month.

    Anyway, if you don't already see where I'm going with this, allow me to spell it out: the only meaningful MMORPG "endgame" -- i.e., something novel to do after the progression process is over -- is that of the sandbox.

    Sniper is nothing but cooldowns. And on anything with over 15sec cd a second or 2 isnt so clear. Especially on stuff like Orbital Strike, and the 3 cooldowns i have. This has totally messed with my head.

    Good luck trying to play a Sentinel where the light blue colour is on every icon. That + ability lag in PVP screws me over so badly.

    Try play a marauder in pvp with this new ui change, it's horribad, I aint wasteing my braincells on that untill it's fixed

    PvP last night after the patch just felt really off for me on my marauder. With the level 50s in their own bracket now, and me being at lvl 48, I decided I would strictly do PvP only until I reached 50 so I could get my 1000 Warzone and Mercenary tokens, along with a LvL 50 gear bag set aside so I could try and get a little expertise gear before I entered that 50 only bracket and started getting my arse handed to me.

    I couldn't even kill a lvl 12 consular past its self healing on my own, I kept trying to use abilities that were still on CD 'cause I couldn't tell at a glance that they weren't available to me. Wasted soo much time.

    Also, how come I can have my camera rotation speed set to 1% and still have it do a full 180 degree spin on me in a split second? This doesn't seem like it should be possible at that low a percentage. What kind of mouse are people using that they need for 100% to be as quick as it is so 1% is still too fast for me?

    What they should have done is to release an addon API and let the addon developers sort the UI out. Looking at all the amazing work that's gone into WoW addons and the terrible SW:TOR interface, it's clear Bioware just doesn't have the talent to compete in any way.

    I played on my now 20ish bounty hunter all afternoon and had not experienced this change (but heard my friends complaining about it). 'Death From Above' and other cooldowns were all grey when on cooldown. I hopped on my level 50 operative to run some hardmodes and...holy crap. Everything is lit up even when on cooldown. Wonder why I only see it on one toon and not the other?

    Wow... first post patch complaint I have seen that I actually agree with. This isn't majorly annoying because working with a heat system if I'm 2 seconds off with an ability, that just means more heat regen and it all really evens out over a long fight, but this is annoying to not know for certain.

    I guess I dont understand or maybe its not effecting me? I played last night for several hours and any ability I used darkened and a light blue field slowly ticked down indicating how long it was on cool down for.. am I missing something here? Im really not trying to flame or be argumentative but I read about this before playing last night and If anything it was easier for me to tell.. but then I dont remember having a issue before.
