Hello,

Nothing new. In fact I find it very offensive to say "we are in development of talents for your class" when all this "hard work" is just tossing old talents around. So pathetic.
Does anyone know a priest forum that isn't filled with this endless QQ from the masses?

I hate the way they have not completely finished updating our skills and talents on the very first day of Beta. I hate it SO MUCH.
Also, I dislike the "We need changes because other people are getting changes and I want to read lots of patch notes under my name" attitude. We should get changes because we need them, not just "because".
I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish. Every inch, but one. An inch. It is small and it is fragile and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us.
I like the fact that void shift isnt a last tier talent anymore. The cast time on divine star sucks, and im sure it has to have a CD. Also vow of unity not working on tanks? Thats pretty dumb, pretty much makes it only good for pvp.
I fear that they are really rushing with the priest, because they were so far behind from others, now they are trying so hard to add something fun, but will fail eventually.
That's something that I kinda fear as well. We haven't had a lot of changes up until this point, and now it's like "oh crap, now what"?
Realistically, the only thing they've changed for Discipline is giving Spirit Shell. But look in a raid setting, when would you ever cast it? When do you cast HEAL on Live for crying out loud, because that's where this spell is supposed to go. A lot needs to happen this beta. But complaining at a lack of changes isn't the way to go, what needs to change?

They'll bump up spirit regen through the roof to compensate no Replen/Int/Mana Spring. So those are balanced, not lost (just like no wand slot isn't a nerf, it's not "taken away").
So really you have "probably less mana reg from spirit" which is your thoughts. They tried a hard, extremely mana limited model. They did. Some of us busted our asses to make it work and get through 8 minute fights all beta. It went live. The bads couldn't handle it. You really expect that to change this time?

It should. I agree, but being mana starved was also something alot of players didn't like while veterans figured out how to overcome it. Having mana issues is really one of the key reasons healing heroics were challenging in 333 gear and they nerfed/fixed them and changed priest mana regen 7 days in. Really it will comedown to how hard blizzard wants to make healing. Currently it sounds like we have mana issues as shadow right now. So we will need to figure out that problem.

Kelesti beat me to it. Even in beta healing raids as a priest I was becoming extremely mana starved on Nef you could do it but it was quite challenging.
Thanks for the video, Dragon-Hawks! Much obliged!
More work to be done on priests, that's for sure.
Best upside so far: Evangelism + DPS chakra means I can probably stack enough damage to down daily quests as Holy... without feeling like Gutrot.

Regarding Mana
I'm actually not opposed to mana being a bit tight in the beginning of an expansion. That means it is room to grow. And face it, the healing game is boring once you have infinite mana. The fact that we lost a lot of regen options is probably a good thing, as that just means we will be balanced towards that. Which means the game will play as if we always have those options instead of as if we always do not.
I am opposed to being stuck casting Heal for the first two months, instawiping the moment you freak out and throw out a single renew or flash heal. There need to be some variance. Some fights should be a mana skillcheck. Some fights should be a precision check, anticipating incoming damage, timing heals, or dealing with positioning. Some fights should be about throughput. We need variance. If all fights end up as mana skillchecks (4.0), cooldown rotations (4.2) or major stacking (4.3), it's getting stupid.
The road from ilvl 300 to 359 was horribly awful, consisting of nothing but intense damage paired with weak and incredibly expensive heals. I totally understand why many healers quit at the beginning of Cata, and I was not alone in having a nervous breakdown, foregoing dungeons completely at that point. But the road from 359 to 372 was pretty fun! The raids had plenty of challenge, variation, and I got to use all my arsenal. I hope to see more of that in Pandaria!
Preferrably without seven weeks of soul-wrecking pain and abuse before getting there.

Question, is the video supposed to have audio? My sound card's been acting up lately, and I'm curious if it's mute from my end or intended
