    Which issues? Changed how?

If there's a problem that can only be addressed by changing the Constitution, yes, it should be changed. And that already happens: as mentioned, it's the entire point of the amendment process. Not every problem should be nor needs to be addressed by amendment, however.

Short answer - No. Updating the Constitution forever leaves the ability for the Executive and Judicial branches to push forward absolutely anything they want, forever.

It's bad enough we, the people, are being relentlessly rammed with crap like the Patriot Act, NDAA and unconstitutional warfare.

The Constitution is just fine, it's people that need to be updated.

Although I would like to see one amendment made.

Any candidate running for a governmental office shall not make promises during their campaign that they will not implement upon attaining such office.
Do we just hold every candidate by their word and charge them if they do not accomplish all their goals?
We'll be right here eating popcorn while you get it in.

if the constitution were followed like it should be the country would not be in the state it is in. Dont blame the constitution for the effed up country, blame the guys in DC that use it as a doormat.

It was designed very well and in its most basic form the constitution and bill of rights are merely lists of things the government can and cannot do.
