Hello MMO-C! As many of you probably thought when you read the title, yes, its for what you think it is. I'm 17 and my step-father has blocked all of those "special" sites that we all love and cherish. I was wondering if any of you more tech-savvy people out there could help me by-pass them without his knowledge! Thanks!

Sounds like you should talk to your step father about personal responsibility and perhaps ask him why he feels he needs to block those websites.

This seems like a power-play by Mr stepfather trying to assert his dominance on his stepson. I'd have told mummy on him already.
Glad I have never had to deal with a step-father relationship....must be painful.

It depends on how he blocked it. What does it tell you when you go there? What happens if you go to the special site by using the IP? Open up CMD, and ping the website. It'll give you an IP, type that into your address bar instead. There are also sites that will allow you to bypass blocked sites.

An update for you guys, it seems all the proxy websites are blocked too. And how exactly do i open a CMD and ping a website? THis is what i see when i go to a site- "Sorry, but Insert site name here is blocked on this network.

If the block is DNS based then simply changing your DNS should do the trick. But as mentioned by others there are a few ways for him to block it.

Use the site Anonymizer, should be fine. You can also get away with using Google Translate and just translate it to English.
