I applaud Blizzard for at least trying new things in the game and adding new features. It's the main reason SWTOR failed so horribly. That game felt so empty for the budget they had. Yes, they made some really bad decisions in Cata and dropped the ball in a lot of areas, but that is not the only reason people left. The other reason is that the game has been out for what, 8 years? It's only natural people are going to get burnt out on the game. I've been playing since the release of BC and I've been burnt out on the game on more than one occasion. Cata was not the only time I had been burnt out. Blizzard realized their mistakes in Cata and are doing their best to fix that come Mists and if the beta is any indication, it will be the best expansion ever. Maybe even better than BC. Only time will tell.

    - new tooltip icons
    - new cast animations
    - etc.

...in short, everything that's NON-ESSENTIAL to the game! While devs are busy with meaningless cosmetic changes, they are leaving class tuning and lore to what seems like a bunch of monkeys throwing darts at random numbers.

Let's take Dragon Soul for example, WoW's current endgame. 7 months out and they haven't even bothered to fix the jump bug on Madness that randomly causes players to fall to their deaths. But how many new pets and mounts have they pooped out during that time? I've lost count.

THAT attitude is what is going to be the death of WoW.

Not all change, not all new ideas are automatically good just because they are new. Common sense says we should keep what's proven to be good and try to develop what's still lacking. But what Blizz has done with WoW during Cata and now wit MoP has been using a hammer to brutally shatter everything into pieces, including all the things that are already ok, and then use talentless morons as devs to shape the game into their own image - dull, boring and stupid.
wow, just wow. The people that work on bugs are not the same people that make new mounts and pets. They have nothing to do with each other making your entire point null. Bug fixes also aren't as easy as typing in "stop doing that" and bam it's fixed. There's no much ignorance in your post yet you pull the same nonsense as the OP. Acting like you have any idea what you're talking about while at the same time proving you don't.

Enlighten me. What exactly have they changed that should have been left alone?

your wrong the reason wow is dead is because people have to play the same old crap for 8months+ at a time. how can you expect people to do dragon soul 32+ times. its ridiculous.

I'd imagine they could have made that work, if they had iLvl thought out a lot sooner. Instead of having gigantic gear gaps, just make the new raids require a certain average iLvl, so that you'd NEED at least X amount of next-expansion gear pieces to do raids.

But yeah, the huge numbers are kinda killing the feel of the game to me. Going from 4k hp at 60, to 8k hp at 70, to 30k hp at 80, to 120k hp at 85 is kinda...weird. And like blues have pointed out before, a "theoretical 5.3 item" will have base stats in the thousands. And a "theoretical 6.3" item will have base stats in the tens of thousands. Blegh.

So because you feel weaker at 86 in Jade Forest compared to 85 facing Deathwing.... you quit?

    Man, players whine about EVERYTHING.

Random Wall of Text about stats dropping as you level which is completely normal and TEMPORARY till you gear up again and the funny part is that it is the OP's Reason for quitting the game and "never" play it again
Theres no point from OP's post so Kk cya.

WoW isn't dead, but it is dying, and it's not because of the reason the OP listed. Blizzard will ultimately put the final nail in that coffin themselves, they've already started the process.

    .
Very useful information, not. Who gives a damn if wow had 100 or 1 million subscribers ? didnt know subscriber count = good/bad game.

  14. #54
But they were going to address it in MoP, and people freaked. The great item level crunch was put off, which would at least in part deal with the issue raised. But when it was brought up overall, the playerbase wasn't happy... so what other option is there to fix it then? What's being proposed that doesn't either maintain the status quo or shift it backwards towards a gentler item slope?

This is what I'm reading from the OP:

"There is a problem that the designers are aware of, but there is no simple fix. I would do anything to fix this, yet still have no solution. Thats why wow is bad."

A link to the actual earnings call statement and Netease's financial reports is unofficial? The official blue blog post detailing server mergers is nonsense? Haha, you are in denial sir.

A link to another mmo thread you started.
    A link to Deity....
A link to a column based off an addon.
A link that doesn't even talk about Subscribers
A link started by some random wow player on the official forums...

No sir, I'm not in denial. You how ever are completely delusional.
Fact - wow has 10.2 million subscribers
Fact - you are wrong in every sense of the word.

Do you know what the definition of the word fact is?

Oh my, that blog was hilarious! Such a great read! I needed a laugh.

Just another example of people who just can't stop playing a game when they don't like it anymore and have to convince the rest of the world to quit with them.

Look, I know. WoW is 8 years old. It's old news. The devs don't listen to you and cater to your every whim. You think your concerns are so huge that they need to be addressed NAO!

Millions of us don't give a flip what you think. If we wanted to be playing a different game, we would be. In fact I do, quite often. I didn't marry WoW, I'm here because I like it. If you don't, why not find something you actually do enjoy rather then trying to tear down a game you don't even like? Unless... Oh... It makes perfect sense if you get enjoyment out of tearing things down I suppose...

I have been enlightened. Those people are just asshats. I hope they stay out of the games I play. This could be mutually beneficial to everybody involved.

Yes yes, I know, the sky just bonked you on the head, casuals are taking over the government, and some baddie just got a raid drop... I think you'll live.
