    Heritage Armor question

The armor we get from the first 6 points of HOM.

What level do we need to be to use it and how long will it last?

Sorry if this is forum spam and the info is easy to obtain, I looked on the wiki and I'm at work atm so I don't have time to scour the net.

Any info you can give me would be appreciated, thank you.

As far as I know, you'll be able to get it immediately (or close enough to make no difference), it'll be unstatted and appearance only, with a built in transmute stone effect (ie, can automatically be applied to any other armor). Trying to find more info but I'm also at work and can't put much time/effort into it

It's statless? I could have sworn it had stats and upgradeable slots? Hmm.

Nothing in the HoM is meant to give you any kind of advantage, just cosmetics.

From what I read, you actually acquire it ingame at the Eye of the North in GW2. Basically meaning, level 80, assuming there isn't a direct teleport.

Isn't the eye under the influence of Jormag? I would assume you would get it from somewhere in the mists.

It would be controlled by him, yes.

    Makes you wonder.

    Now you're thinking with portals!
There is some screenshot of a map that has EotN but none of the area around it.

The armor and weapons are just skins. So you apply them to your current equipment to change the look to that.

I'm guessing it's something you get for free (or very easily), like a hearth stone. =P

According to the wiki, HoM rewards will be picked up in the home instance.
"Hall of Monuments rewards will be picked up from an npc in the home instance".

According to the GW2 database, there are 2 types of heritage armor/weapon items. Green items with transmutation only and blue lvl 1 items.

As I was finishing my 30th point in GW1 yesterday I had this thought also. WOuldn't it be the biggest shit storm if they decided to make you pay RM to unlock all the rewards all the GW1 players unlocked. Its defiinately something Blizzard would do. But if they did, regardless of the $60 I already spent on the game, I'd immediately stop playing and move on down the road....

Oh man id love to say what I really wanna say after that comment but I cant so Ill say this instead. Its very petty to not want someone else to have what you already have. I earned my 30/50 HoM by putting the time in. Someone who Pays for the items from the cash shop also has put time in to obtain them just in a diffrent manor, time in thier job to aquire that cash to buy the item that helps support Guildwars 2 development.

Vanity Items that are not even hard to obtain. I never considered Time as a sign of skill. If getting 30/50 HoM took skill then maybe just maybe Id be alittle sore about those items being available in the cash shop. But what they could never buy that really is the only thing that matters would be the titles.

oh and BTW I know you wouldnt quit playing GW2 if HoM items were available for RM in the cash shop, I call your bluff and so would ANET... Infact im gonna post in the suggestions thread that they should add that as a feature in GW2 cash shop heritage armor and get all my guildies to /sign approve the thread
