Heroic Zon ' Ozz hitting like a truck,

So my group was doing dragonsoul tonight and once we got used to our new things (a couple issues on morchok) things went smoothly until Zononz, where our group who usually 1 shots him , was getting splattered, I dont know what changed but all of a sudden he seemed to be hitting me (the tank) ALOT harder than usual I know its new active mitigation but he was hitting for 100k+ and with his attack speed, it wasn't fun.

We got him eventually but did anyone else notice him hitting harder or is this just because I lost so much mastery and such.

My guild didn't have any issues, however the changes to every class did have some impact. I'd suspect that's the issue tbh, specially since I haven't seen or heard anyone else noticing a bug on Zon'ozz - or at least not this bug lol.

It would be beneficial to know a lot more here, can you link your armory? Just saying your a tank isn't very helpful.

I really do believe it must have been a player issue tbh. Your character is either an alt or your raiding group isn't that experienced or serious. It's likely that the healers weren't really prepared for the drastic changes to their mana pool or their regen, that you mistimed a CD or just got your rotation wrong.

As an example my guild went to BoT (Heroic) tonight to clear for achievements. We pulled everything on Halfus as we always did back in T11 as well and we got faceraped lol (this in BiS Heroic DS gear). The dmg was the same but we just didn't react fast enough with the changes. It was our first raid after the patch and it's sorta what can be expected. After our first wipe, we had no issues but my point is, that the changes takes some adjustments.

Our tanks noticed they were taking extra damage after the patch, both in BIS gear - prot warrior / feral. Also prot warrior damage is out of control :<.

What probably happened is you're just not ctc-capped anymore and can't be either. As paladin you were probably used to AT LEAST block 31% of all melee attacks by now (51% with holy shield, which has 33% uptime even), but now you're getting full hits roughly once every 4 swings. You'll need to use your new found abilities and cooldowns to counter that.
As for zon'ozz, you can just take less bounces since enrage shouldn't be problem anymore. He only really starts hurting when ball's gone back and forth couple of times.

Didn't have any problems being a paladin myself. heck I still don't really bother using CDs for anything after all these nerfs and it wasn't an issue. just get used to our new active mitigation and it'll be fine.

How you guys handle dispells on Zon'ozz and Hagara with new dispell cooldowns in 10mans?

We didn't dispel on Zon'ozz (2 healed it with resto shaman and holy paladin) and just healed through the damage.
On hagara we dispelled when we could.

We had 1 wipe on Zon'ozz because there was some confusion about where to run (we had to switch strats due to a sudden shift in our roster) and the damage on the tank was somewhat high. Then again, he said he was focusing on damage rather than survival so we blamed him when he died.

Zon'ozz - We haven't dispelled the debuff on 10 man since the 10% nerf. The damage it did was crap all. When we raided Zon'ozz last night we did the same as we usually do, 2 healers and no dispells.

Hagara - Again we used 2 healers. Most classes can remove movement speed debuffs themselves. If you have a Paladin then Clemency is pretty good for this fight, 2 Hand of Freedoms. I didn't need to use dispel once as either everyone removed it themselves or I gave them Hand of Freedom if they couldn't. An example being you as a druid can just shapeshift to remove it, etc.

Prime suspect: your tanks don't understand the concept of "active mitigation".

    Secondary suspect: your healers.

I helped a friends guild progress(a few people in the group had done them before, so it was probably a kind of "everybody from the main team who can be bothered and fill the rest with random people) in DS heroic last night(1shot Zon'ozz and Hagara heroic, both of which were progression fights) without issues. Only fight I felt like I got hit harder on was Yor'sahj. This was on my blood DK, using Gurthalak instead of my Well of Eternity mace. Only really significant change I noticed was my absurdly high DPS(30k on Ultraxion, 23k on Yor'sahj).
Ended up killing 5/8h before the raid was over because they want to try Warmaster during the weekend.

We had no problems with any boss afaik. And we had record kills on everything because of the 35% nerf

    No more resistances

For our group he hit like a wet noodle....we only two heal it since we don't have a resto druid and we're too lazy to make one healer run around like a moron healing both groups during black phase

Not just prot warriors, EVERY tank is out of control due to vengeance not having a ceiling anymore. Our Blood DK was CONSISTENTLY top 3 for damage done the entire night Tuesday night. Just to show we aren't a bunch of scrubs, click the shaman link in my signature and you'll see my gear. He actually had over 500k attack power after an impale on Madness. we also wiped a few times on spine because he was killing amalg's and the stacks got out of hand.

tanks actually do alot of damage. our prot pally who has rerolled from blood dk (due to better setup in mop), has like half the gear the rest of us have and spiked at 80k on madness. I mean, he was like 2nd below our rogue for like half the fight. And we never get cataclysms anymore.

My baby lock got into her first LFR yesterday, and we wiped about 4 times on Morchok. And no, it wasn't cuz LFRtards, the stomp was actually killing us. Took off a huge chunk of hp that I never noticed before.

It might as well be the no resistance thing, I had never ever wiped on Morchok on LFR before.

That said, this thread isn't surprising. I don't think it's the players, our group noticed it too. Haven't been in non-lfr version this week yet so I can't really back up my claims, but that stomp was killing off half our raid YES, WE DID STACK TO SPREAD THE DMG D:<
