How Many of These "Help with GIRL/GIRLFRIEND" issues threads are even real??

I see so many of these threads pop up every day. And the worst part is that these threads actually go on for a good number of pages. In all my time on this site I clearly don't remember actually seeing a "Help with a boy that I like" thread.

And if anyone is even paying attention most of these threads are started by people that barely have many number of posts to give them any creditability.

Its either the people that start these threads live in some sic fantasy world or people that are replying to them get some sort of sic satisfaction to replying to them. I mean why on earth would you come to so called "gamers" forum to ask on girl friend advice if you were even serious in the first place. Wouldn't some kind of dating website or mens health forums be more appropriate?

And the saddest part is that certain individuals actually find it to be a "fun" form of trolling. Sure you have anonymity on this site or any for that matter, which even increases the possibility of people that start these threads actually trolling.

Most of the people here just speak about pretty much everything that goes on about their life here, I personally think that we've passed the point where this forums is 100% just dedicated to mmo's.

Yes we have. I mean who says we should limit our discussions to just video games? This is a very helpful open-minded community and people should be greatful for that. And why do those type of threads bother you anyway? I mean are you really that frustrated about said "sick pathetic people" that you just had to waste a few minutes of your time to make a thread about it? This kind of stuff makes me think twice about who the "sick" person really is.

Well, from what I've seen plenty of people will, but speaking anonymously to people who share one of your main hobbies about relationship issues they may well have dealt with themselves could be somewhat of a boon to people with problems.

I'd say they're probably mostly real. They might embellish it here and there to make themselves out to be the good guy in the situation.

For a website mainly devoted to wow the off-topic forum is really surprisingly lively unlike other websites where there off topic is almost dead in comparison

Also the age range of posters is in that 14-30 range so if you have a question about relationships you would get a good response from people who you would want advice from

I would venture to guess that most of the low-post count posters made a new account to be more anonymous.

It also makes more sense to ask here for relationship help rather than some other site. Gamers kind of have unique requirements that other people don't understand ("Duh, video games are dumb, just quit them") and are also a bit more socially awkward than "normal people," so it makes sense to ask similar people what their experience has been.

Yes, I do believe a lot of these threads are legit.

And, like I have said 9999x times to these kind of threads, if you don't like relationship threads, ignore them, period. It's simple to ignore them.

I would like to do that really, but it's almost unavoidable to enter these threads. Because most of them are using misleading titles such as "Soon christmas, need help!" as a thread title.

Do what I said, ignore it. No need to come here and make a thread about it. I'm okay with these threads, the one you just made, but the relationship threads aren't pointless in my opinion, like I said, ignore and keep going.

Yep, although that's partially human nature to make yourself seem better. I've caught myself doing it a few times myself.
I personally think the majority of them are serious, although some are obviously fake.

Its clean, and its anonymous. Some people handle issues better, worse, or differently than others.
