I'm Canadian so I'm not 100% in tune with how the U.S. political system works, but it's my understanding that a candidate could theoretically get a higher percentage of the popular vote but fail to carry your electoral college. Didn't this very thing happen to Al Gore in 2000?
As far as how this election is going to go down, my prediction is that Obama is going to win handily. I think the election has been made out a lot closer than it really is, just for the sake of dramatizing the TV coverage.

The word you want to use is "have" not "of".
You may have alot of stuff in your country, but we got Lolland.
Texas for example. Has threatened to arrest them if they are within 100 feet of a polling place. You can google that. These are people you can't arrest. They're only and sole job is to make sure the elections go smoothly that people aren't throwing away votes for left wing or even the right wing. The Attorney General of Texas and Washington locked in a heated battle over this.
They act as if this is the first time they came here.
I predict that regardless of who wins the election, America will still attempt to destroy our free internet with their ongoing lobbying for harsher draconian copyright laws.
Anyone dare predict against this?

At the end of the South Park 2008 election episode when a hungover Randy Marsh wakes up and realizes he has to go to work because it's just another day... Something like that.
If President Obama wins, we get slow, clunky growth... The 1% wins, but the people are still slightly in charge.
If Romney wins, we get a spurt of jobs and the 1% explodes with more money, than they will ever need. Plutocrats gain a more firm foothold and gridlock will ensue between the senate and the Whitehouse...
Another prediction, if Romney loses, he will get slaughtered by conservative pundits for being a terrible candidate.
Not really a prediction as it is a fact.
It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere.
I bet if Romney wins there will a be whole slew of "baby runs", people going and getting abortions while they can. My sister was saying she might get pregnant just for the abortion, so she can have the experience of it while she can.

Proof that the mmochamp community can be a bitter and lonely place. What a shame.
"This is what we get for nominating such a moderate Republican! The same thing happened with McCain. We need to nominate a real conservative with real conservative values in order to win!"
Mark Levin, Rush, Beck, tea party etc literally think people like Bachmann and Santorum were the best candidates. If any of them were nominated this election would be a landslide.

I enjoy the current generations sense that "This is New this is happening TO US RIGHT NOW!", sadly I have been present for enough elections at this point to know that it is, in fact, nothing new and that the day after the election is pretty much the day after meatloaf night.

That is really, really despicable.
What I forsee in the 4 years after the 2012 elections.
For the first year we will finish the war in the middle east. - Conquest
The second year we will fight among ourselves leading to the second civil war. - War
The third year the world's food supply will have been devastated and we shal feel hunger. - Famine
And on the fourth year, all shal end, world nuclear Apocalypse. - Death
Or nothing exciting will happen at all. Someone wins, 50% of the population bitches, 50% boast. Economy still goes down the shitter because congress sucks.
I find it hard to believe that this election is business as usual. For one, you literally have people who think Obama is a Muslim socialist born in Kenya who is purposefully destroying America. It isn't exactly a small group of people either.
Meanwhile, we are recovering from the worst global recession ever. Unemployment is still high. We have a republican house that absolutely refuses to do anything. For the first time ever religion seems to be losing its chokehold over public policy, and a lot of people are pissed.
It just really doesn't feel like a regular election to me.

I just hope this guy doesn't get the nukes at his fingertips. That would be just scary.
