And what I hate about it is it's so easy to fix, if they would just sit down and thing about it. All classes have too much CC, which enables the healers (with CC) to heal them, which negates skill, so they can take more damage, so they can be more reckless, so they can stand in the open and deal more damage, so they get CC'd and uuuuuurgh.
Why not just say "... Maybe every class shouldn't have an interrupt. Maybe only rogues should have long stuns, maybe only mages should have counter spell. Maaaaaybe we're going a bit bonkers on the whole cooldown thing."
Personally, I would rather balance a game around the engine than the players themselves. While cooldowns really increase the skill level of the class, it's not something that makes a difference in such a way that it's shown now. It's like, every class has 4 cooldown to throw around like candy - Then does it really matter if you have them? I know I would trade my Icy Veins for 1000 extra ressi any day.
