And biscuits are definitely crunchy. If it ain't crunchy, it probably ain't a biscuit.

If it's sweet, it's most definitely a cookie.

This is a scone (next to a muffin). Scones are usually triangular, and are much heavier than they look like they ought to be. They're frequently made with assorted fruit flavors (blueberry is popular). The thing Ruken identified as a biscuit is, in fact, a biscuit. Those are light and flaky and fluffy awesomeness. Cookies are not biscuits. Silly European people...

I may or may not be giving the Oreos back because I'm going to get me some chocolate chip and/or peanut butter cookies a few minutes out of the oven - cool enough to eat, but still chewy and amazing

Trying to decide what I think is the best biscuit, probably chocolate digestives, I love dipping them in my tea.

Scones are totally crunchy. Scones aren't cookies though because cookies are much sweeter than scones even though both are crunchy. Biscuits are just totally different.

Why would I do that? Biscuits are sweet, sugary deliciousness, the only hot liquid I'll be putting them anywhere near is my cup of tea.

My boyfriend moved here from southern Illinois (cow-town, about as far from Chicago as you can get and still be in the state). He grew up on biscuits and gravy, and is slowly converting me. They're not that bad, if you make your own gravy with sausage and stuff. Nom nom.
