Hows the pop looking? EU servers specifically. Heard something about a server merge?

@melodramocracy you're responding to 3 month old posts to rekindle shit flinging convos ><
..and so he left, with terrible power in shaking hands.
The issue with BDO is it's easy to get endgame geared, but to get competitively endgame geared, it takes either getting ungodly lucky and spending a lot of time or spending a lot of money. And whenever I say lucky, I mean you can lose hundreds of billions on a 5% chance to upgrade, and if it fails the piece gets destroyed.
At some point while playing BDO, I felt like there was zero progression because I kept losing millions upon millions over and over, it felt like I was regressing more than progressing a lot of the time, and it just ended up being a massive waste of time.
The game's very much alive, they recently merged all 3 servers.
Bought the gold package, played less than 10 hours Maybe it will be worth something one day. LUL
I just tried to open it and see what all has changed. It won't even load for me. No idea why. Launcher doesn't even run. WTF.
I played for ~10 hours total. Looked absolutely gorgeous, with amazing animations and character controls, and the depth of character combat actions is phenomenal. That said, the actual combat sucks because enemy AI is bone headed and slow so even with all of your amazing combos and actions and abilities, they're practically worthless from a PvE perspective as you can dominate anything with 1-2 single abilities with no need to combo.
Story and questing sucks ass and the grind even at lower levels is ridiculous.
I'll admit that this game is not meant for a PvE player like me who honestly likes and wants a more on rails leveling experience with some hand holding to guide you towards the appropriate areas, events and activities. But the lack of either of those things would have been somewhat forgivable had the game play been fulfilling rather than blatantly grindy and esoteric.
Hm is there somewhere I can get a quick synopsis of whats been added since just after Mediah? Thats when I stopped playing but seems alot has changed since then.
Its buy to play with a costume store. I think it was $15 or $19 usd? I cant remember, its been a while since i played it. If you want to try this game but dont want to buy it, you may want to consider Blade and Soul. The gameplay is almost identical, as is the hypersexualized korean art style. And BnS is f2p.

Got a character at 56, one at 51, another at 50 and another one at 40.
This is one of my favorite game. As someone who suffers from anxiety, this game is liberating. There's always things to do and unless you do PvP, very little anxiety in what you need to do. The world is huge, there's no fast travel. You can buy any house in the game -- there are a few hundreds of them -- and all of your characters are part of a "family", which share many things in common. Gear isn't BoE and has no level, which means you can trade between characters and even resell your gear when you want to swap.
Admittedly, this game's not for everybody. It's very grind centered, so people who don't like killing the same pack of mobs over and over again may get tired really fast. Personally, I always hated grind games, but the depth in this game somehow kept me going. Over and over.

You're fairly ignorant, this game is not hypersexualized at all compared to Porn and Soul. That game is basically just fanservice while BDO is not. And BDO has way more depth than any other mmo out there.
It is also the only game to ever kill off WoW's rp community which is so small now compared to before. But that is also thanks to blizzard fking up the sharding tech and the garrisons. This game launched at the perfect time.
Yes, yes im sure this game is totally stealing all of WoW's Rp community (lol). And you might have noticed i never said i didnt like this game, so tone down your fanboy defense reflex. But BnS is not so dissimilar as you seem to think. Both are action combat MMPOs that focus on PVP at engame and rely heavily on timing, positioning, and execution to succeed in a fight. But yes, BD has more depth, i will not disagree there.
