    Most Immersive Game you Experienced

What is the most immersive video game (or series) that you have experienced while playing?

For me, it was FFXII. Epic plot of love, bertrayl, sacrifices, and a crazy scientist named Cid.
EVE Online also gave me a sense of immersion.

and The Witcher 2 is real good too but probably not as immersive as it could have been.

Mass Effect series. Playing them back to back was such an amazing experience, I'm glad I got into them after the 3rd came out, that way I didn't have to wait in between games.

Dead space 1, it had its gameplay flaws ( Bit to much action focus and the ending was a bit silly imo), but the atmosphere, level and sound design where all brilliant, there being no interface and played in third person also helped.

We're going back a bit here, but I'm going to say... The entire Baldur's Gate series. Especially Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bahl.

Metroid Prime 2, it's world was so immersive, beautiful, alien and unique with a feeling of agony when you were running in between the safe zones in Dark Aether, an awesome experience for sure! ^_^
