i miss my razor flip phone, it was a sexy looking phone and the best part about flip phones was how badass it was to do a fancy flip open. these smart phones all look the same and have nothing fancy/cool about them other then the apps.

HAKUNA MATATA... IT MEANS NO WORRIES FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS
Runs to get my phone that flips just to flip it because my phone is cool like that, other than not being a smart phone or having apps or anything fancy other than texting and camera.
It does like taking pics of the inside of my pocket at work.
P.S. Just realized there's probably some kids on this site younger than my first, old, chunky cell phone. I feels old. (Also, first typed "old" as "lold"... suitable.)

I still carry a motorola v750. All it is is a "rugged" razor. Fits my needs perfectly.
I dont know why anyone would even want an old ass flip phone. Even if you dont have money you can get a decent smart phone for free on contract
I switched to a smart phone about six months ago. I can never go back. Though, I do agree that smart phones are generally boring looking. If that's your type of thing, you can always carry a flip open comb, cigarettes/lighter, or a pocket watch.
I do my miss my flip phone to an extent. The screen was always in perfect condition. Now I have to use one of those god awful protectors. They look like crap and have to be changed every so often.
That ends up being more expensive. So better buy a liberated one (do you say like that? i mean a phone without any tie to any company) and contract with a virtual mobile operator ^^ At least in EU is this way.

You got some shitty options:
Motorola MB300
Sharp XS-01
Samsumg GT-B9120
Some hopes.
And some hype.
I had one of those old Kyocera swivel phones. It didn't flip, rather it spun around. I felt fancy with that.
My Samsung s3 dialed 911 and they spoke to my front pocket for 15 seconds before hanging up, my flip phone never did that.
i loved my flip phone, terrible phone but fun to just sit there and flip.

Ugh just another thing on a phone that could possibly break, no thank you
Speaking of "nostalgia":
But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.
Heh. My dad had a car phone back in the day. He was a telecom consultant and freelance field tech (back in the days when that meant pagers and answering services) and had all the coolest toys. Car phone, alpha pager, you name it.
Anyway... I kind of miss my old flip phone too. My smart phone may be smart and stuff, but my old flip phone was smaller, lighter, sturdier, the battery lasted a million times longer, and it didn't accidentally hang up on people if I hit something while trying to fish it out of my purse/pocket.
yet on my Samsung c300 I can drop it, Sit on it, Generally bash it about on a daily basis and it still works perfectly fine.
yet if you do any of that to a smart phone and damage the screen your looking at £100+ to replace and repair it
Yes smart phones are great, but until they get to the point where they are unbreakable, then I have little need to replace my little C300 for daily use.
oh and contract phones are not "free" your tied to a contract with the supplier after all.
Unless youre working a job like construction or like to scrape your phone on stones, those protectors are a waste of money and make your screen look ugly. Newer phones all use Gorilla Glass which is next to impossible to scratch or break. I never use those protectors and never had screen damage, even being in the same pocket as keys.

True, but very few people are constantly switching providers so being on a contract is moot point
It's America, dammit!
But yeah, while I enjoyed my flip phones of yesteryear, my current smartphone is better in every single respect.

I drop my iPhone 5, sit on it, throw it about through the air, and generally bash it around on a daily basis. It's fine. No cracked screen, no scratched screen, etc. The black painted aluminum is scratched all to hell, but I'm actually OK with that. It actually holds up a lot better than the Samsung or LG flip phones I had in the early 2000s.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
