The Winter thread and this year's winter

Where in Norway, out of curiosity?

Arendal, almost as far south as you can get. Curiously, i've not really experienced worse winters than since after I moved down here (from northern parts of middle Norway).
I remember getting much less snow, milder temperatures for the most part. Though also more winter storms.

And they still didn't cancel school. :<

I've always envied countries that has "snow day/s", even during the worst blizzard we still had to walk to school :P
Didn't mind much though, got used to be outside during crap weather.

We had under -40C where I live once. That's cold even for this place. I went out at like 3 AM because I knew it was record cold that night, put on like five shirts, still had to come inside pretty fast.

Loved it though. Love the cold, love the snow, love the dark, love winter.
