Watched a video about the crew and so far it looks awesome as a next gen title huge open world. What are your thoughts on it?

It's the game I'm looking forward to most next year. Finally having an open world driving game that spans more than just a city. The driving may not be the best ever but, it's what m dream game was as a kid, playing Need for Speed, seeing the open environment, but never being able to go where I could see. I'm glad it's being made, and I just look foward to wasting so much time driving great distances with my music playing. Seems like a soothing experience. New York to Cali road trip here we go.

It's what I have been looking for, other games such as Drift city and NFS: World became p2w. Hopefully this turns out to be good, because it looks amazing. Release date isn't till 1st quarter 2014 for consoles though, hopefully gets released on PC on the same day, but I won't hold my breath.

Only thing I fear is that there isn't really a huge racing community on the PC. There was trackmania, but it seems to have died down, and even in it's prime-time, was nothing close to GT/Forza which the consoles sport, and the games we did get on PC, more specifically NFS series, has become shit over the past few years. Hoping we get more info on this game soon.

I've seen more people talking about drive club than the crew, but I'm more looking forward to the crew. A racing game with rpg type elements...I have to at least check it out.

They've been streaming for a few hours now, they're playing on a pc with a 360 controller. Seems like it'll be a cool game. Kind of makes me think of need of speed rivals, but there's no annoying cops and there's a much bigger focus on playing with friends.

Ubisoft’s open-world racing game The Crew will get free content updates after it launches, Ubisoft has said.

“One of the things that I really want to do is to keep providing people with content after launch,” The Crew Creative Director Julian Gerighty said in a video interview posted to Ubisoft’s YouTube channel. “Free Content just to keep people engaged in the game. I really see this as your one stop shop for action driving.”

Ubisoft has previously positioned The Crew as the "World of Warcraft of driving games," and massively multiplayer online games of that type usually get a lot of free content in addition to paid post-launch content. As Ubisoft VP of digital publishing Chris Early recently said, Ubisoft is embracing the latter model as well, as players are more accepting of DLC and Season Passes.
