Very well put together post Turmoill I could definitely see a Dark Below expansion coming next!
"If the people who are trying to destroy this world aren't taking a day off, then why should I?"
-Bob Marley
They are unless you realize, that comming of the Burning Legion was a result of orcs (after Garrosh won) not guarding the Dark Portal. This will not happen since we are invading Orgrimmar and therefore the guard of the Dark Portal will remain intact.
However, monsters of the seas will come nevertheless.
Hence, next expansion is Azshara.
It was left unguarded, because Garrosh destroyed the Alliance and with it Nethergarde Keep, which was built to keep watch over Dark Portal.
Also the reason why Legion took the portal, was because without reinforcements to the Stairs of Destiny, where the Horde and Allaince to this day keep fighting the Legion's attacks, was overwhelmed and they managed to take it.
It has nothing to do with Burning Legion coming.
you bring up some Good points OP. And for the people Saying That the prince wont become a paladin. You have to remember that in one of the books, I forget which but it dealt with the first war. That Paladins Started out as Priests, Who trained in the art of War too. Considering that he is already a priest, i can see the Trails of MoP or the next expansion Test him, to his limit, so he picks up a sword, and begins to learn to fight, but keeps his strong Connection to the light.
Anduin is a little older than the black prince. It is fair enough that he has more wisdom given his age.
I don't doubt anduin will play a major role in the next burning legion expansion.
Hi
I wonder what happens if Anduin comes to power. will we see some kind of "Holy Stormwind Empire" thing? Having a priest on the throne will certainly be interesting.
OP : Velen's visions don't have to happen exactly as Velen sees them. Anduin can be a wise leader and unite all factions without being a badass fighter.

As a member of the clergy, Anduin would probably renounce his claim to the throne. Since there aren't any other members of the Wrynn family (that I'm aware of, anyway), the Nobles of Stormwind would probably get to choose the heir which, given their involvement in the story so far, would be a very bad thing, even if there wasn't outright civil war.
If something happens to Varian before Anduin becomes a full-fledged priest, Anduin would probably ascend the throne and give up the priesthood.

The Dark Below isn't trademarked but only an application for a trademark. Reaper of Souls on the other hand is a registered trademark and was registered the same day the website went online and there wasn't an application for it before that day in the online database which means that it was already trademarked in another country so that it can be trademarked immediately in other countries (same goes for Hearthstone).
So the question is why does Blizzard hide all their other trademarks from public but not the one for WoW? Also the cover-up for Goblins and Worgen was something different because there were actual finished gamefiles of the Halloween masks in a PTR patch.
With an application for a trademark you could argue that the new metal texture that is used in SoO is a hint for the next expansion because it's stored under xpack5 and called something like true horde or something. Also the fee for the application still isn't paid so that everyone else could still trademark The Dark Below if they make an application, pay the fee and give prove that they are working on something that will use the name.
It could still be the name for the next expansion and Blizzard is just playing with us by registering a trademark in another country and make an application for it in the US and Europe to fool us or they want to use it as a red herring so that we get excited about an expansion about something dark below but in fact they are working on something completely different or just on what everyone before thought, a burning legion expansion.
Maybe that's the new cover-up to hide it. Keep the trademark non-registered officially to give the impression it's indeed fake. And just before the exp is announced and people have long forgot about it, BAM!
Anduin will probably be a paladin.
