10/21/13 - Mass Shooting in Nevada Middle School - Multiple Down ------ A shooting took place at the Sparks Middle School in Sparks, Nev., according to reports on Monday. KRNV-TV reported at around 7:45 a.m. that the shooting took place. Police officials told the station that the suspect has been "neutralized."
School officials called on parents to go to the Agnes Risley school to pick up their children. It is unclear if there were any injuries.

OT, It's sad that another shooting has taken place, but it's ingrained within America now - Gun rights have been so deeply entrenched, even if wide-sweeping legislation took place to "Confiscate" the weapons it'd never work.

This isn't me ranting agaisnt gun rights, nor am i supporting them.

the problem is we live in a society that glorifies guns. Either through music, TV, or games like GTA 5. The problem comes when people arent taught proper gun safety and learn to respect guns. Its probably the reason these things hardly ever happen in the South. Most of my friends all grew up hunting. I was taught from a very early age that guns are a dangerous tool and can kill if not handled properly. We were always around guns. Obviously we knew they could kill because we were always hunting. We knew how to properly handle any type of firearm. Guns are no different than cars. Im sure when most people get their license the first thing your parents did was talk about how much responsibility it is to drive and how dangerous cars can be if not handled right or if drinking and driving and how easily you can kill someone if you are careless. The same is true for guns. If you educate people on guns then shit like this wont happen. People need to understand guns arent "Cool" They are meant for killing.

shooting random people IS NOT PROPERLY using a gun. Guns are for hunting, self defense, and wars. If you arent using it for one of those 3 things then its not being used correctly.
