"Claptrap" is an archaic word synonymous with drivel or babble, which is clearly not coincidental, since in-game claptraps ramble on and are rarely not speaking.

This is kinda how I feel about it. The first was fun, the second was pretty good (if a bit long with all the side quests), but I'm not really all that interested in the series anymore. It feels like Gearbox is pretty much "The Borderlands" studio, and little more.

Also I'm amused that one of the few screenshots they have shown so far features stairs. Claptrap really shouldn't be playable. Actually wait, how does the oxygen mechanic threaten Claptrap at all?

Oxygen is used like a jet pack from what i can tell. Clap Trap being defeated by stairs in Borderlands 2 was hilarious. Im very interested in this game. I didnt play much of the classes in B2 only really played the siren, i hope the new classes are fun to play. Will definitely pick this up for PC.

It's mostly just disappointing that they're clearly not going to push forward with the series and evolve it.

I'll probably still play it but I feel like Destiny is taking the Borderlands concept and doing it much much better.

Yea, too bad you need to buy a freaking console to even play it. Not gonna waste 400€ just to play one game and then go back to my PC with steam.

Indeed. If it were released on PC, I'd be all about it being a less funny but way prettier Borderlands-esque psuedo-MMO (which it sorta seems to be). But as it stands, I've zero interest in shelling out the money for a PS4/Xbox One in the forseeable future, and have no desire to play a FPS on my PS3, so I sadly can't play it.

This just seems like, "Mostly more of the same Borderlands, except this time with double jumps!". Granted I haven't read a ton about it yet, but it seems like they put a ton of focus on the double jumping and lower gravity, when the Borderlands games already have pretty low gravity.

I think it also has landing effects but not sure that wasnt just a weapon doing the effect. Prolly similar to when sheilds deplete they explode for corrosive or fire etc. Using your O2 as a weapon does make gameplay a little more than just shooting and using your class ability on cd.
