    let's get rid of ALL languages except for English

    Imagine how great it will be when we all understand the same exact language.

    Stop teaching any other languages. Society will be better off without French,German,Japanese,Spanish,Yiddish etc etc

    They tried to make a universal language (Esperanto) and currently only about 50k people speak it. You will also never convince the French to stop speaking their language.

    No, please. Other languages help encourage other ways of thinking, which is good for the human race as a whole.

    Besides, English is one of the messiest languages out there. Good luck spelling stuff if you didn't grow up with the language.

    LOL I grew up with it and my spelling is still horrible.

    And Reeve is correct. Learning secondary languages has been demonstrated to improve mental acuity and proficiency in the learner's native language.

    No no no. Celebrating differences between people is wrong. We should never acknowledge that different sounding..or looking people can be beautiful. Why that would be racist.

    Here's another thing. If we get rid of everything but English, we can kiss goodbye the beautiful English with Chinese cussing future of the Firefly 'verse.
