My vote goes for RA2:
Do you know any better game installation?
Most of the games i installed over the years had a realy borning one. Maybe a music and that was it. And some concept art in background.

Don't sweat the details!!!
I remember Broken Sword 1 had a game of Arcanoid during the installation, that's the only one I can remember standing out
I don't tend to notice the installation as it takes like 2 minutes then is done forever :S

as bad as some installations were it was still a huge improvement over "please insert disk 11" change scene "please insert disk 3" change scene "please insert your head into the wall repeatedly"
Sc one wasnt that bad either:
Also bugs bunny lost in time had some great music.
...but i think the days of instalation background are over . Well unless you need to instal more than 40 giga.
Don't sweat the details!!!
I go to therapy classes to forget that.
There have been various ones over the years that show things like lore for the game, or schematics of units/creatures/etc in the game, I love those. Just staring at a generic install screen for an hour is boring as hell.
Edit: Just watched the RA2 vid again. Man, Yuri was such a badass. One of the coolest villains ever. And RA2 was such a kick ass game, I may have to dig out my discs.
the sims 2 had mini games during install i believe.
Starcraft 2 had a story recap during install
If I remember correctly, MechWarrior 4 would tell the background story while installing.

Your sound card works perfectly!
I liked the Nox loading screen or the magic and Mayhem loading
Starcraft 2 I'd say. For console games, Heavy Rain by far, during installation you create a crane origami using a piece of paper included in the game's case . I wouldn't expect that not by a long shot.

Diablo2 was the worst one, and still hate it now days to haha! First the loud sound when you pop inn CD (Im prepared now days!), and then switch CD's very often.
