Building a new computer for gaming/streaming/multiboxing

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to build a brand new machine for 10 boxing wow and streaming it at the same time.
I don't have a lot of knowledge about hardware, so looking for some help coming up with specs.

    Budget: $3000-4000

    Thanks in advance!

Is that budget with or without peripherals?

    Without, I think I've got enough monitors/mice/keyboards/etc

    Streaming 10 WoW clients.
    Yeah...

    No, it's not.
In fact if the MB would support more, I'd get more RAM than only 32. And definitely a 4960X. The streaming software is killing the CPU usually, especially if it's bloated with other stuff as well, e.g. PiP.

    Yes but

    Code:
Specification wise the extra L3 cache is all that you get. However, Intel's Extreme Edition chips are picked from higher quality silicon which yields greater overclocking potential and less heat output.

And if you really wanna compare prices:

Still not convinced it's worth double the price, unless OP intends to run a custom loop with cooling?

Worth is in the eyes of the beholder. Since performance wise extreme ed. is better, and money doesn't seem to be an issue, I don't see why not.
