Yu-gi-oh! is oooolllddddd. Bad guy appears, everyone beats the hero to almost dead, the hero uses some supercombo to win, and so on for every duel.

More often than not yugi / yami actually used a card which didnt exist until that episode to win, which just really sucks. On top of that a lot of cards have different effects in show to the actual game.

Vanguard's an example of a cardgame anime done pretty well - the heroes can lose (even important matches), only use cards that exist and are available to players and any OP cards from the manga didn't make it into the anime.

I believe Duel masters also followed their cardgame better than yugioh did in the anime, but can't say I watched it since I was a kid and only ever saw the cards IRL once.

That would be extremely dull.. Don't get me wrong, I liked Yu-Gi-Oh (I even have all the manga), but hearthstone does not lend itself to being made into an anime. The only reason it worked for Yu-Gi-Oh is because it was a manga before it was a card game.

Yugioh has some sort of a story because they wrote some sort of a story, and multiple card game anime have been simply based around people playing the card game as normal people would in the anime (at least at first)

I would like a MtG series, but I want it played like an actual MtG game. Like, the first game the hero gets mana screwed for 6 turns and loses. He challenges to the opponent to a rematch, which the opponent accepts because 'that was a really lame game'.

Then this time it's going a little better. Except someone tries to counterspell something and our hero responds by playing an instant and then they get into a big argument about the stack. Then the monsters just sit there and look bored while the two duelers argue for 10 minutes (real time). Cut to credits, argument continues the next episode where the look up the 50 page rule book online. Monsters take a nap.

The only cases I remember for this actually happening in YGO was Ragnarok against Marik, and Dark Magician Girl against Arkana. Otherwise most of the cards were already released before used. Magician of Black Chaos was used to defeat Pegasus, Chaos Emperor Dragon and Envoy Soldier were both released into the real game WAY before they were used in the anime. The Legendary Dragons and Egyptian God cards are exceptions to this as they were the story plots to entire seasons. And lets face it, Obelisk and Slifer's real world cards are both as strong or stronger than what they were in the anime. Ra was butchered for his release XD

I would watch it... The show should be about hearthstone tournaments and none of that winning or losing this card game could decide the fate of the world stuff. I just want to see people play card games not a bunch of stupid drama.
