If someone wonders why I made this poll it’s because my friend have several times said that players of Guild Wars 2 are mature and normally at least over 20 years old. My own experiences have been opposite and I would like to know actual fact now.

If you're trying to prove or disprove your friend's claim that people playing the game are over twenty years old, why would you put that point right in the middle of one of the data groupings?

Age doesn't always answer this question, as I know plenty who are over 30 and act like immature kids. I also know some teens who are really helpful in-game and keep their jokes to the guild.

I'm 24, lol it doesn't sound real when I say that. I still feel like I am 18, maybe everyone always feels younger than they are. People say I look 17 or 18 (unless I have a beard) so it works.

There is a problem with the poll. It goes 18-24 so you now have a situation where you can't tell whether the majority are over 20 because of the brackets.

One big problem you're going to have with your poll though, is that it is going to be measuring the average age of forum-goers, not the average age of the player base. The Forum-goer is a much different animal than the average player >.>

23, but it doesnt make a lot of sense to make an age listing to be honest, i'm on a "mature only" guild but there have been some younger ones (16-17 yo's) that act with quite a lot of maturity, even more than how older ones act.

I think the straw poll is fine, to add/edit a poll on this site you'd need a super moderator or admin to do it. Regular moderators cannot.

OT: I just turned 33 two days ago. Your theory does seem to be supported based upon the responses. However, you can't discount that it might just mean that it's 20+ people who read the sites you have posted polls on (and younger players might not visit these sites).

I saw this poll also on reddit. Tho it may have got some wow player votes from this site since people don't always notice what sub-forum they post when they come from front-pages quick links.
