There's going to be a lot of Republicans to choose from. I think Jeb Bush will be one of them.

I'm conservative and I hope Hillary wins one presidential term. Aside from avoiding more whining from the left, it also represents a good time to move past the female leader precedent. Also I consider Hillary very moderate and even conservative on some issues. And most importantly she is not a leftist apologist.

I will add though, I think Jeb would be a good president. His father even admitted that he wish Jeb was elected instead of George W.

To say that George W. wasn't one of the worst presidents in American history would just be false however.

We don't have any 'leftist apologists' in the government at present.

Implying leftism has anything to apologise for.

He's no Andrew Johnson, I'll give you that.

Johnson mishandled reconstruction and his position was made to seem worse by a congress that hated him and wanted him gone. The negative impact he had was minimal on the scale that Bush and Cheney created.

The mishandling of Reconstruction is partly why the South is such a dump presently.

Bush's mishandling of the economy is partly why the entire country is such a dump presently.

No, the current economic doldrums are the fallout of fiscal policy running from Reagan to Clinton.

Also the republican party wanted to centralize power in the north anyway after the Civil War so it really wasn't Johnson's fault at all.

No they aren't. They are the result of fallout from the housing bubble which Bush's administration neglected to do anything about.

Bubbles come and go. What made this one so disastrous was the finance market had been deregulated, social safetynets had been dismantled, and the tax rate was extraordinarily poorly structured.

Bush was the one who deregulated wall street, cut taxes on the rich and ignored homeowners. Not to mention the stupid wars and removing many OSHA regulations.

Bush's will be the Republican monarchy, Clintons the Democrat monarchy.

Regan and Bush I began this trend.

This has been done since Clinton.

The wars, yes, I will admit were Bush's fault.

Also I think Adams was probably the worst president in history, not to go off topic.

People whine about political candidates, but I don't hear anyone naming alternatives.
