DKs weren't released with the original Naxx either. I think they will add DKs when they add the ICC adventure pack.

I'm well aware of that, however the Naxx pack was Scourge affiliated, and also the Naxx in Hearthstone isn't the Vanilla naxx, it's the Wotlk naxx.

Well some of the iconics weren't really iconic, I mean really, Valeera for the iconic rogue? Really now?!

Was hoping you'd pick another class to make your point but the other classes seem to use more well known characters or at least semi-well known with the more prominent figures as their class legendaries.

Mage- Jaina, Legendary- Antonidas
Shaman- Thrall
Hunter- Rexxar
Druid- Malfurion
Paladin- Uther, Legendary- Tirion
Priest- Anduin, Legendary- Velen
Warrior- Garrosh, Legendary- Grommash
Warlock- Gul'dan

And then Rogue was a character you only saw for 1 quest (the now removed attack on the Undercity) and comics.

If they're adding new hero portraits it makes sense that we'll get opposite faction variants of the current heroes. Meaning DKs may also launch with an Alliance and Horde hero - Thassarian and Koltira of course.

That said I think the image is fake because Blizzard have said new classes aren't currently in the works, and the next expansion is probably mechanical in nature. But Koltira is a possibility for a DK hero. Personally I'd rather they just used Arthas, with the LK serving as a Jarraxus esque minion.

This was my thought as well, though I would say that about a couple other heroes as well.

Why Garrosh instead of Grom, for example?

Additionally, for DK I would've assumed that they'd choose Darion or Arthas or even Thassarian or Crok Scourgebane.

Well they could easily use either Mograine or Arthas/Lich King as the hero and use the other as the legendary. Sounds more plausable than Blizzard starting to use extra portraits for the heroes.
