    Rets Going into Highmaul

Hi all I am a long time player of Ret but sadly I am not a number cruncher I raid and I do mechanics well but I am not a simulator nor number cruncher. I rely on others to guide me and assist me on stats required to pull the best numbers I can out of my characters. Now I have an issue right now

WoD Pre patch--- rets had to get something like 35.36% haste, something like that and 5% from haste buff then go into mastery.

Current patch--- I am have seen many websites and many simulations including here on MMO and they all differ.
Noxxic states-- STR > Mastery > Multi > Crit > versatility > haste ---- now I Assume haste is here at least as we cannot reach the 40% cap in current gear?? I do not know however.

MMO champion states STR > mastery > haste 15% buffed > multi = crit

and though unlikely I read from forums and from other rets to aim as much haste as I can to get as close to 40.06% again.

Now I did try maxxing haste and was able to get to around 24% in heroic 5 man gear, my trash dps was good and my boss dps with DP/FV
Now I am maxxing mastery/multi and my trash dps kinda sucks but my boss is really good.

    Any thoughts or input?

If your guild brings you only for trash and replaces you with someone else for the boss then go with haste

probably isnt a good idea to go for haste caps of any sort while gearing in heroics
go for haste cap when you're actually highmaul geared

aslong as i stay above 6% haste unbuffed i feel smooth. in the 5% range is when it really starts feeling clunky in HP generating

6% for me still feels clunky. 10% or higher feels kinda acceptable.

I'm at 5.73% at the moment and it feels alright. I already forgot what it was like to have like >40% haste.

I read it in the WoD Ret -topic that 9% or 15% Haste Cap was only for Emp. Seals and even there it was like couple hundred DPS boost. So no need to go for haste, stack that Mastery and Multistrike!

I do believe that gearing w/o pre-made group can be quite exhausting.. I actually did my very first RHC yesterday for UBRS and it took us bit over an hour to clear it and total number of people that passed by was 8. Never ever again.

    Quite off-topic, but anyways..

i know the feeling. i just throw a shield and one hander on and tank it. took my random group maybe 20 minutes with me pull the trash effectively and non stop

The 15% breakpoint for Haste is primarily related to using Empowered Seals, while Final Verdict and Seraphim do not benefit from that specific breakpoint. If you're using one of those talents, Haste is still beneficial but not as much of a priority.

Bash me for it but try Mastery > Crit > Multi > haste. Just try it.

    This!

    I see a lot of people saying Mastery > Multi=Haste > Crit

But Crit is the best stat after mastery to go for

And yet neither of you show any backup or evidence for going against what has already been mathed out.
