Proxy raiding

Some players already have gotten ridiculous high level gear (665-695) with garrison followers, weeks before raiding begins.
Good for them but don't you think this proxy raiding is totally broken?

Wasn't the spirit of world's first race undergeared players making up for gear with skill and determination?
Isn't (true) repeat-raiding motivation gear? If we can buy or proxy get gear what's the point of raiding?

Will we expect people to gear by proxy raiding and have 665 ilvl for LFR?

Personally I enjoy raiding not just for gear, but the fights, the advancement in storyline and just plain enjoyment of killing stuff with people I enjoy playing with.
I love doing dungeons and raids even when I don't need gear for it, working together with others and learning strategies and finally killing bosses is awesome.

now, maybe some few lucky guys (with lots of gold) who have played 24/7 do have ~660-665 atm .. maybe, I'm not sure if that's so .. but so what if it were true ?

World first race has always had a huge degree of RNG in it.

Sometimes the right people get amazing drops, sometimes only shit drops but you gotta keep progressing anyway.

Now that RNG extends to follower missions and the rewards from that too.

It's not surprising really, blizzard spews RNG all over the game because randomness is the only thing that can try to even the playing field between good players and casual garbage.

personally i think that blizzard screwed out this time, imho raid gear should never been available outside the raid ever not in the bmah nor in the missions especially when the raid is not released yet; on the other hand i've no problem if they, in later patches, make past tier available once the new one is released.

The legendary too becomes casual-er and casual-er every time. This time you get a 680 item without even ever stepping into a shitty LFR.

Onyxia is broken at the moment and is dropping 695 level gear on 25 man mode.

I got a chest this morning I believe was 655 I'm doing way better than most of my guild on follower management. I had a 50/50 chance with full follower counters. Can you point to cases where this higher gear is common and plentiful?

Raid gear is not available outside raid. But, as always, there is crafted gear, legendary quest rewards and random world BOE drops.

To you it comes off casual, to me, an individual that values the "RPG" aspect of "MMORPG" see's the legendary quest as a journey of obtaining power to stop Gul'dan from destroying the World. If you can't see it for anything beyond "raiding" then you are truly deluded and are playing the wrong type of genre friend.

Who gives a shit? It's telling a story and it's offering an item fitting to the story presented, it just happens to be good for PvE and raiding. Stiff shit if it's easier to obtain. It's one gear piece slot, that's it.

Any1 with super high IL right now farmed/bought gold and dumped it all into gear that's their privilege, i personally wouldnt waste the gold on it progression is part of the game and buying gear to skip progression or speed threw it is a downer
