4 Arrests (Hopefully More Coming) After a Brutal Attack at my Favorite Restaurant

This will probably go unnoticed, the only reason I heard about it is because I went there to eat the day after it happened when news crews were still there.

TLDR, a group of savages went out to eat at a fairly upscale restaurant and got mad when they were charged the prices listed on the menu. Then, when the manager decided to cut the bill in half, the lovely patrons went on the attack and started throwing chairs, beating up waiters/waitresses, and then running out. They even made their way into the kitchen and started assaulting people in the back rooms. One of the waiters needed staples in the back of his head.

When I got there I saw broken tables, chairs with legs missing, and holiday decorations ripped down all over the place. They had to close off half of the restaurant. The waiter waiting on me told me that he was there and that it looked like the party was having a baby shower and he said the pregnant girl looked 16 or 17 years old. (no confirmation on that, just what I was told)

This is a 1 of a kind restaurant, and they really do do everything possible to make you happy. I've spoken to one of the managers before and he was incredibly nice. They just did that to avoid any conflict because it wasn't worth the money. Then they ended up with thousands of dollars in damage.

There are some seriously fucked up areas in Florida, this is not one of them. It's shocking really. I've lived here my whole life and I have never seen something like this happen before.

While i admire the concept of going an extra mile to please a customer, i think that in this case it would only encourage such behavior in the future. The manager should've really had called the cops right when it started.

There was no race baiting. My title was neutral, I just brought race into my OP because it's clearly a factor. You are the one who comes in here completely nonconstructive and only mentions the race part of my post. Nothing about them bashing a waiter over the back of the head with a beer mug.

Race doesnt matter in this situation.
Those people went in for free. Think of them like a mafia.
18% is usualy a tip on a bill as i know. So that was not a problem. (they went down for 50%)

They usually try to tame them by giving a discount or a gift card or something (maybe some free drinks), cutting the bill in half isn't really normal. But from what I heard these people were rowdy and troublesome before the bill even came. So they just wanted to get the people out, and they figured cutting a 300+ bill in half would have been enough, obviously it wasn't.

They went there knowing what kind of restaurant it would be, but acted like they were at McDonalds.

My favorite part about going to Mc Donalds is beating the shit out of the staff but I know I can't do that at other establishments. This group was clearly uncouth.

Well at least the good news is that resturant got a free advertising. Probaly a lot more people will go eat there, because they fell *bad* for them.
However if the owner of the resturant would hit a person that refuses too pay....then it would probaly get closed.

No surprise here. I post an article about a violent and heinous crime, and all people want to blame it on is Florida. As if it's okay because of where I live. I really don't want to get banned here, but the lot of you doesn't make it easy.

All of the problems started before they even ordered. Maybe it was greed, but if it was a black waiter/waitress would all of the same stuff happen? probably not. I'm sure being drunk didn't help the situation.
