Are There Any Strong Women In Game Of Thrones?

So I've been avoiding game of thrones for a while because I was under the assumption that most of the women in the show were being portrayed as helpless sex slaves. I thought about giving it a shot but the idea that the women are helpless kinda irks me. I'm hoping that there are at least a few of them willing to stand up against their masters. Is there a fair amount of women in the show that don't dance to the wime of their masters or no?

Some of the strongest characters in the series are women.
And I saw, and behold, a pale horse: and he that sat upon him, his name was Death; and Hades followed with him. And there was given unto them authority over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

The women of Westeros & Essos are far from helpless. Watch the show or read the books (You should totally read the books), you will not be disappointed by their strength or valor, among other things. Brienne's fucking AWESOME, but really, talking about how the women showcase their strength and character and absolute independence (Whatever the opposite of helplessness is) is just asking for spoilers.

Woman are arguably the more powerful sex in GoT, with woman of power in some of the most important roles in the series. Not to mention there are many powerful woman warriors (Arya, Breanne of Tarth.) Now that I think about it the 3 most powerful characters are all woman. Denarys, Arya, and the Queen.

All of them? I have no idea where you would even get the notion the women of GoT are helpless sex slaves, the women of GoT would eat you alive lol. Not every single female is living the dream like but most of the important female characters wield power of some sort and have agency, plenty of Matriach's and female heroes in GoT.

The TV show has lots of boobies and hookers, the book has em too but as far cast members go GoT has a strong female cast.

Is this some kind of sjw bait ?
Anyways how about watching the crap instead of making assumptions. You might be slightly disappointed though if you expect some woman running around kill bill style mowing down armies.

Brianne is an incredible tall and strong female knight who wins in almost every battle against men.
Aria Stark is a steriotypical Rogue character, it was clear since the first episodes that she will always be the small girl
who is good with weapons and who takes out stronger enemies with insidiousness.
And of course there are all those strong women that live their 'normal' medieval lives but are extremely intelligent and powerful,
for example Cersei Baratheon, Margaery and Olenna Tyrell who pull the strings in the Tyrell family that is infested with dumb men and
last but not least Sansa, who will grow sooner or later due to all the pain she had to go through.

Men are superior to women, even Game of Thrones knows it's true.

Most of the characters in the show who are side characters or better are either strong
on their own, or manipulative enough that they don't need other forms of strength. And
that's characters in general, not just men or women.

The show is very worth watching.

So... let me get this straight... without familiarizing yourself with teh books or show... you're assuming it's all about sex slaves?

I just want to know where you got the idea about the bolded part....

That's about as spot on as assuming the new Noah movie is a true to form bible adaptation of the story.

IN response to the question, yes there are numerous strong characters (male, female, other) or varying sexual orientations even. And there are very few cases of 'sex slaves' present within Westeros (Most of them are around teh City of Mereen or however it's spelled). Though considering how some people think of sex and use the term in relation to slaves, I guess soemone could argue much of the whores shown in the story are slaves regardless of why that individual character may or may not have wound up in the situation.

All I've seen in got was a few sex scenes where women were getting raped or performing sex in each other in front of this one guy. I honesty don't know much else

Brianne is like, the exact opposite of what you apparently think you'll see, OP. I think you'd like her. Alot.

Seriously, most of the female cast are very strong characters who are some of the most interesting to watch. Go give it a shot.

I'm curious as to why you would assume that.
