    Guide my Way please help!

OK i loved Guild wars and i think Guild wars 2 is cool but i need some drastic help, i dont really have anything (not the problem), i want to level a guardian because i play paladins in literally every game regardless how op/bad they are.... can someone explain "how to level" because i run around doing the objectives and what not but i feel its almost the wrong way to go about things.. if any has any tips or tricks for leveling or class play please post

No wrong way to level, everything (gathering, crafting, exploring, story, events) gives xp.

For a guardian I'd recommend sword/focus and Greatsword. Play however you enjoy the game whether that's exploration, wvw, pvp, crafting, personal story, etc. Though I will warn you that rushing to 80 on your 1st character will likely burn you out or hate the character, EoTM is probably the fastest way for new players who don't have access to tomes of knowledge/crafting money/pvp skills.

rushing isnt a problem i got every class on 2 servers on SWTOR capped and on wow i got 22 100s no boost used

Following the zerg in EOTM can help you level quickly, but keep in mind this is a PvP area, you will eventually run into other players and end up in a battle. So depends on if you think that's worth it or not. Otherwise, try and complete maps while doing the dailies for bonus XP.

Running around randomly doing events is the main leveling scheme of Guild Wars 2. Content doesn't become obsolete as you level. You just do whatever, for the most part.

That's the whole game- do whatever.

this is all good input its the do whatever leads me to a lost place lol because im a roamer

You should really just do what you find fun to do. There's not a big race to get to 80.

If you are hell-bent on speed leveling, then I would just do regular PVE until 20. The leveling curve is even more ramped up now. Once you hit 20, hit EOTM and just follow the karma train.

I find that to be a hellaciously boring approach, but I play games for fun.

Hammer is solid, albeit can get a bit boring since majority of the damage is from auto attack. It's effective though since it can provide near permanent protection buff. Also keep a staff handy for large group events, since it makes tagging piles of mobs easy.

If you are a "roamer" than the game should be rewarding to you in spades. Much of the events, puzzles, maxes and cool stuff in GW2 is specifically designed to be "off the beaten path", so to speak. With a lot of emphasis given to exploration. The game actually rewards you for doing these type of things; jumping puzzles, mazes, finding odd events, etc.

The most important thing to understand about leveling in GW2 is that is for the most part relative. Going to a level 10 zone at level 80 will automatically adjust your character such that the level 10 mobs are a decent enough challenge. So you don't really out level the game.

It works upward to a small degree- you will be challenged by going to a level 25 zone at level 15. But it is doable and not necessarily a restriction.

i cleared first zone but after i had to switch i got WRECK faced idk if its gear issue or i suck

im currently switching to a shadow priest in wow would mesmer match that and if so do mesmers do well in pvp from caster standpoint i know last time i played there were alot of mesmer melee builds

Mesmer is in a bit of a weird place in PvP. It has the strongest 1v1 build ingame (imo) but then it suffers a lot from being the class with the lowest mobility. (i do think most people play with scepter/torch instead of sword/pistol but it doesn't matter much).

The other most played build is double ranged this build has very high mobility when played right (with Portal) and is very strong in a vacuum, sadly the condition meta totally wrecks this build.
In most cases, I understand the other side's viewpoint and how they came to it, but cannot tolerate their stubbornness to not see mine (the right one).

I can only say try a different profession then. I found the professions to play very differently. I just couldn't get into a mesmer. It drove me nuts. I switched to an engineer and really enjoyed the game.

The official wiki is the best resource for dispelling confusing of GW2's atypical MMORPG systems. It can even be accessed while in game by typing in the chat box /wiki <search term>.

It can only benefit one to spend some time understanding the nature of the game they are playing in all cases.

Here is a very good comprehensive guide to playing mesmer in PvE.

What do you mean when you say "lost"? Are you talking about lost on the map? Do you not know what to do next? Is the game play tedious?
