The Chinese word yáng refers both to goats and sheep,[4] with shānyáng specifically goats and miányáng sheep. In English, the sign may be called either. The interpretation of sheep or goat depends on culture.[1] In Vietnamese, the sign is mui, which is unambiguously goat.[5] In Japan, on the other hand, the sign is hitsuji, sheep;[5] while Koreans also use ram.[6]

So I'd say people who are declaring for one faction or the other are both wrong. :P

Will the new weapon skins still be on sale after the event ends?

usually the ticket price goes up after the intro.

    What does that mean?

Typically a new Black Lion Ticket skin premieres at 1 ticket per skin, and after its intro period(whatever release it's tied to)is over, it goes up to 3 to 5 tickets per. They'll sometimes go back on sale later, but I'm not sure how consistent they've been with that.

Wait, they're not gem store skins? Then where do I get these 'tickets' to buy them?

You can find them in a black lion chest, but if you have the gold you can usually buy the skins on the trading post to avoid the random nature of the tickets.

Patch notes says I can also trade in scraps for them - where would I do so?

Opening a Black Lion Chest gives you a small chance at a scrap and an even smaller chance at a full ticket. You can take 10 scraps to the vendor near the auction guys to swap for a ticket, and he also sells the skins.

Holy @#$%! I just went to the human city for the first time for the event, and... GOD! One of the best MMORPG cities I've ever, ever seen!

Yeah, Divinity's Reach has a lot of nice detail and color. Hang around and listen to the NPC's, they say some interesting stuff now and again. 'Met an Asura once, she called me a bookah. I think she was coming on to me.' >.<

Damn; they want whole tickets for the weapon skins, not scraps. Only have two scraps! Lol. Probably will buy some gems and convert to gold to buy them. Question: Do the gold prices for the weapons go down over time, as more and more people get them? Or do they go up after introduction, because the price goes up by 5x?

  13. #33
    Usually goes up, yeah.

So now would be the best time to get them I'd assume?

I remember when I first played the game many years ago, I spent like...4-5 hours exploring the entire city. Not even joking. Normally I give zero fucks about that kind of stuff, but I remember when I first got to it I just couldn't help but sink almost my whole day just running into every corner I could.

Yes. At least nowadays once you unlock them, all you have to do is use xmute charges to reapply to whatever weapon you want it on. And xmute charges are easy to farm, just roll an alt and map complete a few cities, plunk the charges in, delete and repeat. You also get 3 a month with daily logins.

This is the way it works; skins go on sale for 1 ticket. They appear on the TP at quite high prices (because they are still rare). Price goes down as more people get tickets and buy the skins. The prices will dip below 100g for each. After a period of time a new set of skins come out that are on sale for 1 ticket, and the old ones can only be bought with 5-7 tickets (which nobody would do unless they were completely mad). So the supply dries up, and the price of the skins on the TP goes up. Typically they will be between 100g and 200g, which is WAY below their value (compared to the number of tickets) but is driven by the number of them that exist. Which brings us to the last step; eventually the skins will be removed from the vendor entirely, which means the only remaining copies will be those that players bought earlier. As they are bought from the TP over time the prices will go up and up, until eventually you can charge pretty much anything you like. Because if someone really wants that skin, the only way they will be able to get it is from the last few (or one) that exists.

I had a Dreamthistle skin that I had kept for the best part of two years that I sold recently (the only one on the TP, barring any odd copies that people are keeping in their banks) and that went for 1200g. So as a money-making process it can work pretty well, but you have to be thinking LONG term.

I wish I had bought a Greatsaw skin when it was like 300g.

It costs more than a legendary now I think, lol

Never do the same mistake I did and buy keys with gems... put 2600 gems into keys once (for science! *cough*) and just got 3 colors (worth 25 silver), 1 cosmetic kit to redo your char (costs something like 250 gems or maybe 400, dont remember) and 6 scraps... and this after they buffed the chance for scraps and tickets.

RNG is evil in this game
