Okay, so recently I got drunk and entered a long philosophical debate with my friend about how games which involve sexual intercourse don't correctly portray the consequences that come with such frivolous activities, you know like in Fable if you have an orgy with 25 people you'll get like 5 STD's which show up in your stat menu without doing anything ect... and that it would be an awesome idea if those STD's actually did stuff to dissuade your character from partaking in such activities too often.
It'd start as a simple health debuff and then slowly get worse unless you got it treated by a mage or a potion or a hospital or something then boom, you leave it too long then you die from your disease (If it's fatal).
Then I jokingly stated how fast such a debuff would spread in an MMO and how interesting it would be to see, I mean imagine if sex granted a buff equivalent to stat food in WoW. "Okay guys lets buff up, oh and bob wear a condom this time!" wouldn't that be educational? A good way to teach people the dangers of unprotected sexual intercourse within the fun confines of a video game? What about pregnancy? "Guys I got the healer pregnant again" "Oh way to go bob, I TOLD you to wear a condom!" Then Bob would be forced to pay the healer money in childcare and such, which could be an interesting spin on the game's economy.
I don't know I just think it'd be really interesting to see, maybe the child could provide bob and the healer buffs and debuffs, such as keeping poor bob awake all night causing his stamina to drop by 5% or getting an A in maths class giving him a +10% Armor bonus. It could really provide some interesting chemistry.
Anyway I'm going to sleep off the last of this drink, night guys.
