Barking Dogs cost owners 240k

I can't stand constant barking dogs! Dogs Bark that's a fact of life but ones that do it non stop and late at night really makes me think the owners are terrible owners. 4 Years ago my backyard neighbor put 2 dogs CHAINED up at the back fence and these dogs barked NON Stop and it was right outside my bedroom window. It was so bad that they actually had barked themselves horse.

Even though it was over a span of 13 years 240k is a bit much, but I like the idea of dog owners being held more accountable, now only if we can start fining people large amounts who lets their dogs crap everywhere and not picking it up, it make me view most owners as irresponsible.

P.S. I Love dogs, after my xgf took my last dog I decided to not get another one because I can't give them the attention and care they need.

Sure, i'm with you when it comes to being annoyed by peoples loud children or noisy pets. But if you live next door to a person who raises livestock, you should know that it will not be a quiet peaceful place.

Probably on the grounds that there is a noise ordinance, constant complains filed through the years. I am sure this will be appealed but I am betting this reaches some sort of settlement.

Never had this problem myself. Only thing similar I experienced was the rooster my father's neighbour kept. Those things are annoying!

Honestly, I can understand Why the dogs were barking, and why people would get annoyed, but don't live near a livestock farm for petes sake. Its also wrong that the court tells them what is and isn't a suitable guardian breed. I am sure the farmers know a lot better what is good than some judge.

240k seems harsh as a fine as well given the area and the reasoning behind the dogs being there. Now, if it was a different scenario where it was in, say, a city, I could understand. Even then though, 240K? Where do they expect them to get that money from?

My father lives across the street from a man who raises sheep, cows, chickens and has a Llama. It's not the quietest place to live. But he knew what he was getting into when he moved in. You would think the person who is filing the complaint would be wise enough to understand this.

We have people in our neighborhood that leave their dogs outside all day / night. Holy shit.. they don't shut the fuck up. EVER. We have so many complaints at our HoA about it. I'll have to post this story on our community website. lol
