Player A with 0g - Buys token for $20, puts token up on the AH for 30k.
Player B with 30k - Buys token for the 30k
Player B now has 0g and Player A has 30k. Tokens drop to 20k
Player B with 0g - Buys token for $20, puts token up on the AH for 20k.

Player B now has 20k and player A has 10k.

There's still 30k from the start, it's just split.

But there will never be a time when a token would drop 10k that much in order for that to happen. Tokens get bought up fast, so it's highly unlikely that this scenario is possible.

They never fluctuate more than 2k either way nowadays(23k seems about avg) anyways.

Apexis currency has problems. Solution? Make it more pointless and replace it with gold.

Just because someone can buy gear doesn't mean they win, I've encountered plenty of geared players who can do more than 15k when I have about the same IL and do 30k+.

Thing is that catchup mechanics used to be with a currency you get while playing (dailies/dungeons) or chests in the world (timeless isle). Now catchup mechanics are wow token...

And if some random wants to sell a token for this kind of awful gear, well :

Oh you want that one piece of gear replaced with something decent to BRF Normal/heroic? 20,000g! Your faction lost a mount contest? 100,000g for you! -_-....

Sure if you ignore the fact that all those Apexis gear have been available for 0 gold for the last few months and this is a way for people with established mains that can relatively easily get gold, to quickly gear up alts without having to spend weeks doing dailies.

Or stuff like how you get like 5 free mounts just for the price of Negative gold and resources with the Stable.

Its very easy to make something look bad when you hyperbolize and ignore almost all of the thing you are criticizing.

If that's true, that is the most insane line of reasoning I've ever heard. It's already questionably worthwhile to do highmaul on normal because of the difficulty of finding a group to do it relative to just queueing up for lfr, and right now it could still be technically called relevant since we're still in that raid tier. The only things you can't get from lfr right now are a second trinket and a second ring, and the ring is kind of irrelevant because of the legendary. Next tier there will be no reason to do it at all, even if they don't increase the item level of lfr gear. I really hope it's some kind of mistake and not an intentional strategy.

Well considering crafted gear's price, apexis gear is so expensive. Also with 6.2 i think BrF boes will get cheaper. I have no idea what were Blizzard thinking when they put those price tags on those items!!! It makes no sense at all.

Well, also lfr testing on ptr is tuned to 655 which usually indicated the ilvl of dropped items.

there is a difference in a 3rd party site selling gold then blizzard it self mate, now selling and buying gold is used to open arms meaning you can buy and sell your way to the top, and if you think there is skill in this game now, your a joke. with each passing patch blizzard removes more and more skills making wow a easy roll over to play.

Just sad when we have players so blind to what is going on to there game, you pay X$$ to pat for a new X-pack to get less and less content patch's, yet paying the same Y$$ in months sub fees. And now blizzard want more money from pets, mounts, toys, level 90's and now buying gold. People rely don't want to see what wow has become, A cash cow!
