Is this game going to turn out like hearthstone?

i just won a game. my team wrecked. I went 27/0. And I got...30 gold....Is this game going to turn into F2P how Hearthstone is? You can get gold to buy stuff, but it takes forever to do it that way. Virtually forcing you to buy with cash?

The only things ONLY bought with gold are the Master Skins and the piggy bank mount.

Aint the whole point of HoTS that it is F2P ? you buy skins / *gods* etc. with real money or grind the ingame gold ... that was how i did understand it anyway.

I love how people equate their childish impatience to being 'forced' into buying stuff. "I want everything now, now now! But the game won't just hand it to me, therefore I'm forced to buy it!"

Regardless of how long it takes, the fact is you can get practically every reward/skin etc in game without spending a dime (aforementioned exceptions notwithstanding)... so maybe take the time you waste pouting on forums and play the game instead.

Gold is hard to get but not THAT hard, you can basically play a new hero every week (have in mind that there are also daily quests that give you gold)

mhmm..yeah..i can play 10-20 games on league and buy a new hero. at 30 gold a win on hots ill have to play over a hundred for 1 hero. there is a big difference.

i just won 3 games and got 30 gold each game..yeah it is that hard to get. considering champions are all 2k+

if you wrecked, then you had fun? the point of the game is to have fun you know. the gold is just a bonus so you can buy a new hero every so often, then theres the daly quests too ofc :3

let say that you play only 3 games per day and get 30 gold each game and you do your daily quests (lets go with a 200 gold quest), then at least you will get enough gold to buy a 2k hero in that week

If this is the real numbers it sounds very fair ... 1 hero per week with 3 games ( wins ) per day.

It takes about 2 weeks of playing some games every day and finishing dailies to get about 8-10k gold (I bought a Hero 2 weeks ago and have 9k right now). That's approximately 2 10k Heroes a month and not all of the Heroes cost that much. You could easily get the cheapest Heroes and there are already a couple of them. Once you have 10 Heroes you can basically be as competitive as anybody else.

Your issue seems to be that you think grinding at the game four hours at a time should be more rewarding, compared to a more casual approach.

I really don't see the relevance. You can grind if you want to. But you can make plenty of gold just working out your dailies. Works for both types.

Well... is not like you're going to buy all the heroes (you could but you're not going to play all of them) and you're getting 7 different heroes for free per week (so even if all the weeks appear all the heroes you have, you at least would have 7 heroes to choose from and having in mind that you get plenty of gold taking heroes to lvl 5, is not really that hard to get gold)
