It's like this with almost all LNs. There are just some aspects of written media that do not translate to animation at all. Even when the adaptation itself is good - like in Overlord's case, without looking too far - it's always just not quite right.

Tbh I'm happy they're not going to announce sub numbers anymore. Just let people play the fucking game without caring how many other people are playing, since that affects the game in absolutely no way. As long as they put out fun stuff I'll play.
