Kingkiller Chronicle Book 2 - Ok, finished the book. It was good. I liked The Name of the Wind better, though. It felt better structured and had a better climax.

The whole second half was varying degrees of quality. Severen was OK until Denna appeared and then it was great. The bandit arc was way longer than it needed to be, even though the climax to it was great. The dip into the fae stretched on a bit too long but as it whole it was good.

But the Adem stuff was dumb. It had nothing I really liked about the series: no magic, no Kvothe and his wits, and no Denna. I was incredibly glad when it ended. It should have been way shorter than it was.

Everything else kind of sped by, but it was good, and helped improve my opinion of the book after the shaky middle. The Denna part was great: there was a sliver of hope in me that something was going to happen during it, but even though it led nowhere I was still satisfied.

I guess now I wait. I don't know how others have survived this long, and I don't know how I will be able to.

Before I posted this I looked up some thoughts and I'm honestly surprised at how many people hate Denna. Denna is amazing. Denna is perfect. I love Denna.

Devi is good, too.

I had a feeling you'd like Denna lol. The book would be better without her.

I knew something was up when Lelouch freaked out to losing the game, since Lelouch would never go in without a plan to win. Still, I gasped when the bomb supposedly went off.

Watched first episode of Attack on Trains. And I see exactly why people call it that; everything from character types to the melodrama to the way the enemies behaved was familiar. But it was entertaining enough, just as SnK was, so I'm game for trying a few episodes of it. It seems like the sort of series I won't mind watching every week, but that I won't ever return to in the future.
